------------------------PLEASE,
anyone with screenshot that shows specifically the breakdown of the discounts EPP and others. The various screenshots already included do not include the various breakdowns, which I remember seeing.
Also, for those who tried to price match the current price to the price during the sales price + education discount, how did it go? I am having issue pricematching now that it is back in stock but different discount. Thank you.
i think u mean earthy gold.
ya i got same color.
son teases me all the time.
initially got the alpha.
but gave to same son.
then bought the book s for myself.
so far pleased.
few annoyances:
.keyboard is a bit odd and will need time to adjust.
.the function keys i would really have liked them to be "default on" rather than use the fn lock
.the darn thing is a bit awkward to open , cause is so thin
Yup, sorry Earthy Gold (I was probably thinking of the Mystic Bronze smartwatch I got for the wife). Way too many Samsung purchases and their crazy color schemes!
My daughters are still upset at this price, I didn't order more than 1.
Does it blue screen most of the times? No blue for me...yet. But I performed all updates immediately after 1st login. Try to log into safe mode with networking and do a full update. Afterwards, if prompted, do an upgrade/update, which I think was version 20h2
So when i went to change my settings for closing lid and pressing power button to hibernate, underneath these settings i found "Shutdown Settings" which let's you pick what to show in the Power Menu. For some reason Hibernate was not selected. It is greyed out so to make that selection you have to click "Change Settings that are currently unavailable", then you will be able to check Hibernate. Now Hibernate appears in my Start Menu options of Shutdown.
So after doing this, as well as changing closing lid and pressing power button to hibernate (both plugged in and on battery), so far no power drain. Very short sample but fingers crossed. If you are having battery drain, you may try these steps.

It's my first one. Just watching a show and then alt tab. Then boom whea uncorrectable error. Im not digging any deeper. I don't want it delaying any longer especially with this return window I had extended.

True, only a 15 day return window kinda blows. Remember, it should be 15 days from delivery date. Demand for a new, not refurbished, replacement. Many times, various vendors' policy is to replace with refurbish items.
I spoke too soon. Just got a pretty rapid battery drain while in "hibernation". I had set to hibernate on closing of the lid. The battery was at 83%. About 10 hours later, I opened the lid to find 0% battery (laptop would not power on, once plugged in, it shows 0%).
This is currently my biggest issue with an otherwise amazing laptop. I really want to get to the bottom of this. There is very little info on this laptop on the web. This thread probably has the most useful info from real users out there so hopefully, people here can help.
I did have the Chrome browser with about 5 tabs open when I closed the lid. Do you think that could be the culprit. If I have to close the browser every time I want to hibernate, I might as well do a full shutdown.
I may also have to look into power settings for network adapter during hibernation that someone suggested here.
Do you know if you have Fast Start enabled (it's in the same menu as where you select what to do when you close the lid, etc.)? It was enabled on mine, but I am going to try disabling it. Also, which Power Mode are you using? the Samsung Mode or Balanced mode?

I don't use Chrome, I use Edge. Maybe try that? I have fast boot disabled and I'm on the Samsung mode.
I wasn't able to find any options for power settings for network adapter during hibernation so let me know if you are able to find out where to fiddle with them.

windnsalsa is correct. Check the master packing slip. Samsung ones say "you may return your order within 15 calendar days from the date of delivery"
Am I still the only one having this battery drain issue? I put the laptop to hibernate and in about 10-14 hours later, I open the lid to find it is on and battery down to 0-20%. It even feels a little warm on the bottom (like it's been on this whole time).
I have tried:
Disabling Fastboot
Changing when closing lid and pressing power button to hibernate
Disabling Autoboot
In network adapter settings, I disabled Wake On Magic Packet and Wake on Pattern Match
I have not tried closing Chrome browser but I have not had to do that with other browsers. If I am going to do that, i might as well power down.
Any thoughts?
I just noticed that when I went to windows update, it said last check was 3am. Could it be that it is waking up the laptop when it is checking for update? Or it was already awake, which allowed it to check for update?

Have you tried reinstalling Windows? Definitely sounds like a software issue.

I've changed my power settings to shut down on lid close and power button push. It starts up fast enough to not be bothersome. I too was seeing battery drain when hibernating. There is no setting (on this laptop) to turn wifi off on sleep and hibernate.

toggle Airplane mode would turn off wifi. Powering off should not be the workaround. Would hate to have all opened apps to close. We need to find a remedy for this sleep battery drain

Ok so it has been 3 days without the battery drain, so I think I have finally a workaround for this. I was wondering if Windows checking update when my laptop is supposed to hibernating has anything to do with it. So I paused checking for Updates for about the 30 days. So far so good. Not the ideal solution since Windows only let you pause update at about 30 days at a time but at least we are getting somewhere. So it looks like it wakes up the laptop to check for update but then it is not able to go back to hibernate.

No, that seems a little extreme. I actually like some of the Samsung software that comes with the laptop

That was my last resort.
