I've never installed a fridge before or used a fridge that is not auto defrost
The lowest temp it can maintain with the thermostat maxed out is 37-40F and it varies widely between the top and bottom. The shelf area towards the front of the door can get as high as 42.
The freezer works mint, however, do not plan on keeping anything that can easily spoil in the fridge.
My main fridge maintains 34-35F and I can keep leftovers in it for as much as two weeks if I wanted to (not that I would).

Ah, Nope this is an issue in the mini fridge world, most mini fridges don't auto defrost (Especially if they have a freezer) and this means ICE Build up over time. I just bought a Beverage Cooler that Evaps Auto Defrost because I was tried of Manually doing it.
I guess just don't buy a mini fridge, then? You run the risk of buying a dud no matter who the manufacturer is or what model it is.
Unplug it if it gets bad enough. Whatever you do never chip away at the ice as you can puncture a refrigerated line. I'm not sure on this model but I've seen many mini fridges and freezers murdered that way.
I took it back to Sams, no issue.
I ended up buying the 9.8cf Haier one at Lowes for $329 and it's been great. More like a real fridge.
P.S. I also bought the Thomson upright freezer at the same time, and it's working fine for me.
You can use an ice scraper and keep it at a small amount.
