Yep, it ticks all the boxes for what I was looking for, it's only $300 more than I was looking to spend =) Guess I should get two.

To those for whom this price is slightly out of reach, I highly recommend the BenQ EX2780Q. It's 1440p/144hz, which should be more than enough for anyone running a 2080/3060ti and under. It's the closest to perfect of any monitor I've owned. Zero backlight bleed, zero IPS glow and excellent performance. It uses the same Innolux panel as the Aorus FI27Q-P and can easily reach 500+ nits, close to 600. The contrast is excellent for an IPS panel, around 1300:1, far better than the 800:1 you get with something like the LG GL850. Colors are vibrant and accurate, >95% DCI-P3, outstanding blacks that don't look remotely washed out and it also has a 2.1 system with 2 speakers in front and a 5W sub in back. It has HDR400 certification but it can absolutely reach over 500nits in my experience. It's HDRi technology works really well imo and looks better than other monitors I've seen using HDR. It uses freesync premium but works perfectly with G-Sync as I use it with my 2060 super and gameplay is smooth as can be, no ghosting or artifacting that I've seen. It doesn't have crazy low response time but anything around 5-10ms should be fine for people who don't play games competitively, which is where this monitor falls. This monitor outdoes just about any other under $500 imo. The only negatives imo are the mediocre adjustability (which is an easy $25 fix) and the fact there's no USB hub. But it has DP 1.4, 2x HDMI 2.0 and USB-C capable of one-cable connect. It also comes with a remote, has insanely slim bezels and looks great in an office setting or a game room thanks to the very sleek bronze color. It's also very sturdy, the stand is entirely metal and holds firm. I know this is unrelated to this post but I'm sure there are people who would rather spend less money and still get an excellent monitor so I thought I'd share my recent experience with my purchase.

If you have the Amazon Chase card and AMEX, you can split the payments on Dell's website as follows to save a little extra: $500 using AMEX to get the $100 off; remainder using Chase to get 5% cash back for purchasing from Dell (~$11-$12). With the 10% off email sign up, my total with cash back comes out to around the low $620s.

The Chase 5% offer applies when you spend more than $999.

Thank you for bringing my attention to this! I'm torn between the Benq and the Lenovo Y27q. So many options for 1440 gaming monitors

I saw this earlier but was a little hesitant. My lg 27gn950 just arrived and I'm honestly loving it. 4k at 160hz afterthought latest update is awesome though you need the latest gen gpu to run that. I'd love to hear from someone if this is worth it over the monitor I'm using now

lg way better Smilie
