T-mobile iPhones are typically locked. Those purchased outright from Costco can be unlocked after 40 days of being active on the account.
Those purchased on EIP can be unlocked after 40 days of being active on the account but also the balance of the EIP must be paid off in full.

I believe even T-Mobile locked phone is unlocked for international use, right?
Would I need to do #1 and #2 on separate days? Guessing at minimum I would need to do #1 completely before doing #2.
Also, is there a certain plan I need to be on to get the 3rd line free? Sorry not familiar with Tmo plans but want to do the bear minimum plan.
Go next day, tell them that you want to do BOGO, tell you will port one line and need one new line or number for Tmobile. Select phone and you should walk out with some more rebate forms. One you need to submit on Tmobile website and another on mypromochoice...
I would suggest do BOGO first or today, because 11 series stocks are very limited and promotion is ending tomorrow.
Regarding Plan, free line is applicable on Magenta plan...so I beleive 4 lines will cost $120....
