The $540 deal is listed in another thread. Just do a quick search and you will find it easily.

T-mobile iPhones are typically locked. Those purchased outright from Costco can be unlocked after 40 days of being active on the account.

Those purchased on EIP can be unlocked after 40 days of being active on the account but also the balance of the EIP must be paid off in full.

Go next day, tell them that you want to do BOGO, tell you will port one line and need one new line or number for Tmobile. Select phone and you should walk out with some more rebate forms. One you need to submit on Tmobile website and another on mypromochoice...

I would suggest do BOGO first or today, because 11 series stocks are very limited and promotion is ending tomorrow.

Regarding Plan, free line is applicable on Magenta plan...so I beleive 4 lines will cost $120....

magenta - 3 lines for 120 (tax included)

does anyone know what tmobile charges for tax on 3 line essentials plan?

wondering what is more economical
3 essentials lines ($90 + tax) or 3 magenta lines ($120)

They charge taxes on the final cost, i.e on $90. If you are just to do the DEAL and don't need add-on services like Netflix, etc, then go for Essential, it will save an additional $20. However, I am not sure if the Essential plan also qualifies for 3rd line free? If you are sure, go with the Essential plan over Magenta, if you dont need Netflix.

What I'm planning to do is, get 3 lines + 1 FREE, under Essential Plan. After getting the $1200 Costco Cash Card, I can cancel, correct?

Thanks a bunch for the advice. Did the byod today as I'm still debating phone to get. They had 11 pro max (64gb, $699), 12 (64gb, $746), and 12 pro (128, $899). Between 11 pro max and 12, 11 seems better but compared to 12 pro, size increase is preferred but not sure abt that price difference. Thoughts?

If you can save $20, better to pay netflix out of pocket independently.

Port-in is not required. I added two new lines to my daughter's existing account. The limit was two lines to add. Then, my husband and I opened separately two 55+ Accounts with two lines per account. Total new lines we added were six.
