killer price on the finish nailer if that's how the pricing winds up to be.
If the return price on the battery ends up being $100 I'll definitely be getting the finish nailer.

When you purchase a tool that comes with a free battery, on the receipt there will be a stated "value" of the battery for return purposes. So, for example, you purchase the $299 finish nailer and the return value listed for the battery is $100, you can then go back to the store and return the battery and they will refund the $100, making the value of the nailer you bought now $199.
but wouldn't they just say you can't return a free item unless you return all the bundle items for a full refund. that's what they should do so that you would have to get a store credit without a receipt.

Great deal! Too bad I'm waiting on red tool deals. That impact driver is amazingly priced! I'd be all over that and the oscillating tool if I wasn't 110% committed to milwaukee

Is this only on those select tools listed in the OP? Or a lot more selection you think?

That would be great. What you think of impact wrench (for working on car) and router?
The 3/8 impact isnt horrible. I mean, I wouldnt want to try to remove plugs with it.

The issue I have, is that it only has 1 setting. Just a trigger. I love Dewalt, but they are stagnating while other companies continue evolving (good, or bad).

The router might not be great for working on the car lol. All jokes aside, it's a decent router, but top heavy. ESPECIALLY if using a 5ah on it. The low profile batteries (3ah&4ah) help, but I still prefer a corded version for a mini palm router. If I was going cordless palm router, I'd go Makita. Corded, I'd go bosch Colt.

All in all, the 2 tools aren't bad, but there gave been, and will still be, better prices (if the OP is accurate).

June, of 2023, Dewalt will be giving you the Atomic Oscillating tool for free, and $20 cash if you just take it. Lol. Word spread really quickly about how junky that thing is.

The XR is awesome... but that atomic... oof!

This is exactly why I took a donor 887 and dropped a 3/8" anvil in it (Dewalt Part Number 608116-00SV). Has tons of torque - enough to remove lugs - and has the speed settings. Probably one of my favorite tools now.

Awesome! DCF890B is on sale with battery. I'll do the battery return on this guy and 11% HD rebate that's going on again.

This will go nicely with the DCF894B and DCF899B I got for $59 and $97 respectively after selling the batteries, chargers and bags in the kits. The 899 was in-store purchase with 11% off.

Yeah that could happen. Then you return the bundle and wait for the next SD. nod

Yes, that's typically how it's done. A free item won't come across with a returnable value if they were smart. I'd be very surprised if they allowed this.

Also, this is why we can't have nice things...people who take advantage of already good deals.

ask yourself why they *should*
because it bothers people that someone would rather not spend $100 for a product they don't need?
The best option would be to offer a gift card or you know instant discount instead of the battery but that's too easy for corporate isn't it? Simping for corporate home depot, that's a new one.

read the t&c and find out if that's what they did, companies are aware this is done and if they don't write it in that's their choice. Like HD.

Its an amazing nailer. I don't miss pneumatic nailers for one second after having used this angled finish nailer for 2 years+. It was worth every penny even having paid ~$270 for it!
