can you connect this to a PC and use it to play steam games?

also, does anyone know if street fighter is available as a 'bring your own game' to run on this thing?

Recently purchased this, and general research recommended replacing the restrictor plates with aftermarket. I purchased some sanwa 8 way restrictor plates, opened the controller to replace and the stock restrictor plates are virtually identical.

Just a heads up for anyone wondering. I've seen some videos (I think CoolToy?) had an 8 way on one joystick and a 4 way on another. Wasn't the case with mine.

What I did notice is the joystick wasnt excatly orientated straight up and down, so up was actually a bit off to the right. That was throwing some 4 way stick games off, as when ever I posted the stick straight up, it would actually be between up and upper left, which got to be annoying. I was able to adjust that so taking the case part was not all for naught.

You do realize you can add any game you want to this in the retro realm?

I'm not the person you are ranting with, but....

Nothing I read or watched online mentions anything about needing to be on some older/special firmware. Quite to the contrary, most of the guides or troubleshooting information I found specifically says to make sure you are on the LATEST firmware. So I believe you are mistaken there.

I did read something about how earlier firmware stored the CoinOpX on the internal flash storage, and that changed to start using a special partition on a USB drive. And some people who didn't understand this when they upgraded ended up wiping their games when it formatted their existing games-only USB stick. But that's the only somewhat negative thing I read about anything to do with firmware changes.
Here is where I got that information. About the 20 sec mark. Video was uploaded today actually and I do not know the person who made the video. I don't know for sure, but I'm assuming they know what they are talking about, but that doesn't mean they do. Smilie

This is for the cabinet, which I'm also assuming runs the same OS as the this Joystick/Streaming set up listed here. - Video Link [youtube.com].

I wish they would have left the spinner controller on this, It would of made it complete and you could just about cover all arcade classics. Would have liked that for Tempest. Looking forward to using this with all the classics for the true arcade control. And also testing it out with some of my steam games such as PinballFX and Street Fighter games.

I saw four pages of posts since I last checked and though maybe some good info might be here.

Nope. Just some sad man who can't stop posting to let everyone know how much better he is than this joystick.

Cool.

My R Pi has somewhere in the range of 11-12k games. And again, I hope you enjoy your "arcade stick
But it didn't come with any of them, which was the point. You had to add them, just as you can with this device. My PC MAME setup I bought this to use this with has thousands of games as well. You can very easily use the puck console with this with thousands of games. And you could use this with your Raspberry Pi setup out of the box. Again, you're just massively deficient in not realizing the value this has as a controller for people that want such a controller.

No, but you should at least attempt not to be a total tool, and thread crap on a product you obviously don't understand the appeal of.

Or just use it with a Raspberry Pi or another device capable of utilizing the controller.

With CoinopsX all Golden Tees up to and including 2k work well.

This device pretty much eliminated any want I still had for that A1UP Golden Tee cabinet.
