This thing is huge. I did not expect it to be this big. 😁 My problem now is where to put it

It arrived yesterday and I promptly looked up some youtube videos, got a usb stick and threw TMNT arcade on this thing last night.

I will say, the built-in selection of games is garbage, and barely any of them are the actual arcade ports. But I didn't buy it for that.

Playing TMNT with clicky buttons and a stick was like being a kid again, except I realized how shamelessly cheap the game was made to suck quarters like crazy, especially the final two levels.

My intention at this point is to not ever update the firmware or connect it to wifi because I don't want them deciding to take away the USB option and forcing a subscription on me or a "check-in" wifi requirement. Is that a pointless/needless philosophy that means I'm missing out on some real quality of life improvements to the firmware performance?

Bluetooth controls were responsive and smooth. Interface itself and navigation could be significantly better, but they probably know that which is why coinopsx is offered.

Either way, I'm pretty sure I'll never go back to the Arcade 1up Street Fighter cab in my basement. And the control sticks and buttons on this are significantly better than that one anyway.

I tried to play a few of the pre installed games this morning and they are not all working correctly. For anything that uses a trackball like operation wolf or spacegun, the target scrolls to the upper left when the ball is idle. I cant move my char in space invaders dx even with the joystick and i suspect this is because the "idle" trackball is forcing me left. Does anyone know a way to calibrate the trackball? It works fine as a mouse in legendslink mode, so i think its a software issue, not hardware.

I havent seen anyone post that they are having issues with the built in games though so it makes me wonder

Got mine today. Works great and everything paired ok. Having major issues trying to install CoinOpsX though. Keeping getting a "CoinOpsX Not Found" after formatting, mounting and installing to the flash drive.
Had same issue, did a few reformats and removed the USB drive and did several installs and it finally worked, Thought my 256GB USB stick might not be compatiable for a min. This thing definitly has some quirks.

Goto diagnostics and do the trackball one, you will be able to calibrate it there and determine if it is working correctly. I tested everything on mine, all came out as working.

IF YOU ARE HAVING PAIRING ISSUES AND TRACKBALL ISSUES FOLLOW THESE STEPS!!!
YOU HAVE TO FACTORY RESET THE CORE AND CONTROLLER UNIT AFTER UPDATING FIRMWARE!!!!

Power off the device.
Press and hold the recovery button with a pin.
Power on, then press and hold the P1 START + MENU buttons while you continue to hold the recovery button.
Once you see the factory reset prompt, release all buttons.
Follow the on-screen instructions.

Actually, your instructions apply to the Big Cabinet, not this device, the Gamer Pro. These are the correct instructions:

Connect the Legends Gamer Console to a TV

Connect the Legends Gamer Console and the Legends Gamer Control Top via the USB cable

Power on the Legends Gamer Control Top

Press and hold the reset button on the Legends Gamer Console with a pin

Power on the Legends Gamer Console via Micro USB cable while you continue to hold the reset button

Press and hold the P1 START + HOME/MENU buttons on the Legends Gamer Control Top while you continue to hold the reset button

Once you see the factory reset prompt, release all buttons

Follow the on-screen instructions.

connected the controllers ok, but won't connect to wifi. only works when plugged into router. my router is mesh. is that a problem?
Network name cannot have any spaces in it. I just made a Hotspot on my phone with no spaces in the name, connected it to that, than did firmware update, and after it will connect to my home mesh, that does have spaces. Old firmware would hang if it had spaces in network name.

Mine is stuck at the KENNESAW, GA distribution center since the 14th. Got my 128g stick ready but I'll wait for another status update before Saucing it up. :-\. Anybody else in the same boat.

In order to make use of the Coinopsx, I was required to register an Arcadenet account and now it won't allow me to use the Coinopsx without being logged in to that account. That wouldn't be too big a deal except for the fact that it won't allow me to use the Coinopsx as a standalone console without internet connection. Apparently there's also a five session limit to each login. Once you play five sessions you have to relogin to start the count over.

Does anybody know any workarounds to this?

Tried that a few times, no go. It may have been an issue with my AddOnX tool, as it wasn't giving me the completed screen when it got to the end, it would just close out.
I had the same issue with my USB drive the first time I ran AddOnX, it closed before it said completed. I re-ran AddOnX and made sure it said completed and now games play without issue

You're checking the status through the Walmart website, right?

Cause when I initially got my tracking number, I just copy/pasted the number into USPS website and bookmarked that. It turns out the Walmart website was properly tracking it, but the direct link USPS page was "awaiting drop off" until they finally updated when it was out for delivery. It skipped all updates in-between.

Yeah, mine seemed to lock up as well, and I read somewhere that disabling your AV software on your Windows 10 machine helps that... did that, and boom, it finished...

(not sure I like it pinging ATGames etc but.....)

Thanks! wish I knew this before wasting 2 hours trying to get the wifi to connect!

I will say this thing has the worst UI I have seen in years. I buy crap regularly from Aliexpress and those retro devices do better than this!
Anyhow for $99 it isn't bad since the console has strong build quality but if you have to the Coinops route to really enjoy it.
By the way does anyone know of any cabinets that can convert this to a stand up arcade unit?
