Anyway to get this and referral 15k points? I'm trying to refer someone but they're only getting the 60,000 point sign up bonus offer.

Unless you can find a referral link for 80k points, no, it wont work.

Didn't know "pay yourself back" was ending soon. EDIT: Derp. I thought pyb was the same thing as cashing out points. I kept reading the thread and see that it's a special benefit for csr. my question below still stands though.

I'm sitting on 300k points with the expectation of opening a sapphire reserve when my 48 months expire (it may have expired already bc I got in on the last month of the 100k points - was that Jan 2017?) and getting the 1.5x on travel.

It sounds like I may be better off taking the cash at 1x and not risking a points devaluation.
If you have no travel plan the better to cash out. I cashed out around 320K with pay yourself back

Would you still get the offer if you apply before 48 months but online offer? And promo does show up for online. The first time if it was an offer done in branch.

OK,
I applied from the branch and as mentioned by many above, there is a "Branch only promo" saying $95 waived for 1st year !
I also asked if I can use my wife's referral but the branch manager said "there is no provision in their system to use a referral code or link" unless I do it myself online (then I won't get the $95 waive off branch-only promo)!
So, either Promo or Referral, not both !

Also,
Last year, I tried to apply online and it got rejected instantly and when I called them they said I am still within 48 months wait period so the system will auto-reject my application. They asked me to apply after Oct-2020 (last year) and so I have been waiting since Oct for a good offer like this and applied yesterday.

So, if you get rejected, call them up for the exact date when you will become eligible again and set it in calendar as a reminder. Until then chill...lol

Well, I just cancelled it. Lets see if this resets in 24-48HRS before i try again. If not, its not a big deal. Glad i have one more less card and something better will emerge.
Cancelled my old sapphire card last week. New offer showed up in my account and went in yesterday and apply. The decision was pending to review my application and this morning i got email stating " We did not approve because you already have Sapphire account".

I cancelled it and it shows up as closed cancelled account. Not sure what is going on with Chase? Anyone know who to call?

TIA

Is there any point keeping it after the points hit?

Yap. It's one of those cool metal cards 😎
Totally worth a hundy per year.
But seriously I'm keeping mine it's a pretty good rewards card. I've also got a door dash pass with complimentary with mine (dunno if it's still offered) and 5X points in lyft which I use a lot for my work.

Looking at the history of the 80k deal, they update the referral link from 60k to 80k a few weeks after the deal starts. I have a friend checking the referral link every few days and sending it to me, waiting for the 80k update.

Since your wife already has a bunch of points I would lean towards CSR and transfer points. Use points for the 1.5 reimburse until end of Sept:
Grocery stores
Home improvement stores
Dining establishments, including take-out and delivery services

$300 travel credit can be used on gas and groceries until EOY so you should be able to take advantage of that full credit.

If you plan to do any travel then the 1.5 thru the travel portal would probably push me over the edge to go with CSR. Amex is a good offer but is only once per lifetime where the CSR can be churned every 4 years. So I would go with CSR first and then you could double dip on the Amex, but based on Chase 5/24 rule and not knowing where you are I would go with CSR first. When annual fee comes up next year I would cancel though and move points to freedom or other UR card until you or the wife gets the CSP or CSR again.

About 20 people have posted this question. No end date has been published. For what it's worth, the 100K CSR offer lasted around 5 months (August 2016-January 2017).

Does transferring over debt from another CC count toward the $4k tally with this card?
