This is a good deal. The Hyper 212 has been on sale for over a decade. I had the Hyper 212 Plus around 10 years ago, it cooled my i5-750 pretty well, especially for $30. I wish my current case was tall enough to support this heatsink, I would buy it then

Not really, for the same price ($20), you can buy a gammax 400, which outperforms this, so up to you really, and for 30 bucks, where it normally sits, a se 224 xt blows this out of the water, not even close, so a Hyper 212 is kinda a lose-lose situation.
+1 for the Vetroo, I was super surprised by the results. 3700x overclocked never went above 45c. Used Noctua NH-T2 paste though, not what was included in the package.

I've used all of the above and at this price point, the performance/cooling is about the same. It comes down to features/appearance and ease of buying is the bigger factor. If you need real cooling, budget will be significantly higher than $30 bucks. Personally I would go for the SE 224 XT as it just looks nicer.
