If you remove any paid lines within the first year, the free line loses the promo and becomes paid.

TMO doesn't want people doing what you're wanting to do.

To accomplish it, you would need to:

1. Add free line.
2. Wait a year + one day.
3. Port out paid line to another carrier.
4. Keep paid line active on another carrier for 90 days (to preserve number).
5. Port old number back in on free line.

This whole process has taken you 1.25 years.
My port-in was initiated during T439 promo period and completed today outside of the promo period. Without the port in (with only the added line and traded-in) I was on a bad promo. Once the port-in completed today, the system auto updated to T439 promo in my account --> promotions. Therefore, I don't think it was a requirement the port-ins must be completed by 3/24 EOB, just as long as they are initiated.
YES, you can use this sim in your iPad. I pay for 2 lines and have 3 free lines on promotion (5 lines total)
I have 2 of my free lines in a iPad and a Samsung S4 tablet, with UNLIMITED data.
You have to call them and tell them you want to use the line (promo line) in a tablet but don't want to lose the promotion and you don't want to open a new line for this.
What they did for me, was block the phone service on the line and kept the messaging and data. That way I am able to use it in my tablet.
Every summer my daughter comes and visit from Germany. I take one of the sim card out of my tablet and put it in her phone..
I call T-Mobile and have them unblock the phone service. That way, my daughter has a phone while she is here in country.
When she leaves I call them back and get it blocked again. I have been doing this for close to 5 years. So I know for a fact it works.
Tomorrow I will be calling to try and get another free line.. (Fingers Crossed)
Hope this helps

Be careful, I did the last 2 campaigns for a free line and pixel 4a 5G phones. I'm receiving bill credits to make one free from from the port in / add a line. I also did the promo for add a line and half off pixel 4a 5G. Both reps told me the promo stacks. 2 months later Ive been charged over $30 each line plus tax. I'm currently on a grandfathered simple choice plan. It's a pain having to contact them to manually make lines free because system is not automatically doing it. If they say it will work, MAKE SURE THEY NOTATE THE ACCOUNT...

Just got in on this deal, thanks OP! 8 lines (4 paid & 4 free) and Netflix for $128/month.

Couldn't resist the Pixel 4a 5G for $175 either.

Damn you SD!

I got the A11 and it is slow as hell, granted it is a spare phone to get freebies. I might try the Moto G. I have a few Moto G7 play that performs well enough.

thank you yeah just ordered Moto G Play with free line.

promo showed up right away she added one plus promo as well on free line and phone is shipping over night.

I had SIM so no charge of any kind just paid tax on phone $10.40 or so

Normal, just check out. Once the SIM ships it adjusts in your account.

Does anyone know the difference between USCFM4 vs USCFM4L? I'm on the FM4 and not eligible for a new line... Did they just add an "L" to exclude grandfathered plan?
Quote from WhiskyTango :
No love for USCFM4. I wonder what the difference is between that and USCFM4L which does qualify...
I'm in this same boat too, I wonder what this means...or if someone already answered but it's buried in the thread?

i am a current tmo customer who has 5 lines (all paid) and my SOC is TM1T12

if i add a new line, its automatically free with the same plan as the other lines (T Mobile One)?

No, I did not yet. But that's how the prior free lines worked and I did that twice before. Just checkout, if your SOC is eligible you ill be fine and it will adjust.
