If you remove any paid lines within the first year, the free line loses the promo and becomes paid.

TMO doesn't want people doing what you're wanting to do.

To accomplish it, you would need to:

1. Add free line.
2. Wait a year + one day.
3. Port out paid line to another carrier.
4. Keep paid line active on another carrier for 90 days (to preserve number).
5. Port old number back in on free line.

This whole process has taken you 1.25 years.
My port-in was initiated during T439 promo period and completed today outside of the promo period. Without the port in (with only the added line and traded-in) I was on a bad promo. Once the port-in completed today, the system auto updated to T439 promo in my account --> promotions. Therefore, I don't think it was a requirement the port-ins must be completed by 3/24 EOB, just as long as they are initiated.
YES, you can use this sim in your iPad. I pay for 2 lines and have 3 free lines on promotion (5 lines total)
I have 2 of my free lines in a iPad and a Samsung S4 tablet, with UNLIMITED data.
You have to call them and tell them you want to use the line (promo line) in a tablet but don't want to lose the promotion and you don't want to open a new line for this.
What they did for me, was block the phone service on the line and kept the messaging and data. That way I am able to use it in my tablet.
Every summer my daughter comes and visit from Germany. I take one of the sim card out of my tablet and put it in her phone..
I call T-Mobile and have them unblock the phone service. That way, my daughter has a phone while she is here in country.
When she leaves I call them back and get it blocked again. I have been doing this for close to 5 years. So I know for a fact it works.
Tomorrow I will be calling to try and get another free line.. (Fingers Crossed)
Hope this helps

No love for USCFM4. I wonder what the difference is between that and USCFM4L which does qualify...
L was a plan similar to non L but $20 more. USCFM4 is one of the better plans ever offered by tmobile and rarely is eligible for these free line offers anymore

Anyone with a link or seller name for a port in number on Ebay? I found a few but none checkout due to "seller can't accept payment at this time."

Our family is currently on a grandfathered plan of 5 lines for $140 a month (before taxes/fees) at 10gb's per line (plus one apple watch cellular for $10 plan). Is that still the best deal?
That's a horrible deal. Almost all grandfathered plan are bad. Best deals typically goes to those who are porting in from another carrier. They typically get hookup (20% discount) and free lines added over a period of time with unlimited data and no taxes and fees. I have helped my sister in law with her plan and already gotten her like 5 free lines in less than a year, so she's paying $120 for 7 lines already. Her plan still isn't as great since she was an existing T-Mobile customer so couldn't do hookup. This Magenta plan should've been around $96 including taxes. Some people have a way better deal. I left T-Mobile after more than 13 years because my select choice grandfather plan is horrendous. Plus I was tired of hearing their tier 2 support telling me my data speed sucks because of network congestion.

Give me your plan detail
Switched to FRLTULF2 which is 2/120. But, I have the 20% Insider Dicount on my plan. All 6 lines have the One Plus Promo as an Avtive Add-On. Netflix now included which I was paying for myself so that saves me some more.

I ported in from Google voice on the last free line. Don't see why it wouldn't work this time.

I'm on Magenta Amplified, just chatted on the app and got the free voice line (line #9) added.

I was also on Magenta Amplified with 9 paid lines and was able to add a line thru chat 3 different times throughout last year. However, my bill also increased every time and the promo could never stick. I think they were able to fix my account for the first free line but the other 2 free lines were showing up on my bill every month and I had to contact them to fix manually. I ended up having to switch my account from Magenta Amplified to just Magenta because they said technically, the Amplified plan didn't qualify for the promo. Just an fyi

I believe the Iphone 12 with a trade in / port is the better deal, if you can handle the extra work.
I do not see that on website.. can you please provide a link to this iPhone 12 promotion?

Any tips on getting a phone number to port in that is allowed?

I tried Number Barn but their numbers are held by Bandwidth.com who is the same VoIP provider that Google Voice uses.

Google Voice ports will work, but they are not allowed for the promotions to get a free iPhone SE or iPhone 12 (w/trade in).

Most of the vendors I tried on eBay are not working. I tried a sketchy looking company (portnumbers.co) that used PayPal - to buy an AT&T number to port for $15, but haven't heard back from them yet (only been an hour).

If you have a number you're willing to sell for a reasonable price, PM me.

If anyone knows a solid way to get a number to port - please share Smilie I've read the H20 Wireless sim cards at Best Buy for $1.00 might work, but then I've heard horror stories about H20 Wireless requiring you to call them before they will unlock the number and they never answer the phone or make you wait on hold for hours.

Are you sure the $30 is the tax on the phone? They're telling me it's $30 to activate the new line plus sales tax on the phone. Side note, they did ask if I have the account number and PIN; according to Google, you use the 10 digit number and the PIN is whatever PIN you use to check voicemail.
Yes, my $30 was sales tax only. The additional $30 you're being charged is $20 for the service assistant fee and $10 for the sim, which can all be waived! My rep confirmed this.

There is a $20 support fee plus a $10 sim card fee. Tforce on Twitter waived both of those charges for me without even asking. I had to pay $60 tax on an IPhone 12 Pro.
