If you remove any paid lines within the first year, the free line loses the promo and becomes paid.

TMO doesn't want people doing what you're wanting to do.

To accomplish it, you would need to:

1. Add free line.
2. Wait a year + one day.
3. Port out paid line to another carrier.
4. Keep paid line active on another carrier for 90 days (to preserve number).
5. Port old number back in on free line.

This whole process has taken you 1.25 years.
My port-in was initiated during T439 promo period and completed today outside of the promo period. Without the port in (with only the added line and traded-in) I was on a bad promo. Once the port-in completed today, the system auto updated to T439 promo in my account --> promotions. Therefore, I don't think it was a requirement the port-ins must be completed by 3/24 EOB, just as long as they are initiated.
YES, you can use this sim in your iPad. I pay for 2 lines and have 3 free lines on promotion (5 lines total)
I have 2 of my free lines in a iPad and a Samsung S4 tablet, with UNLIMITED data.
You have to call them and tell them you want to use the line (promo line) in a tablet but don't want to lose the promotion and you don't want to open a new line for this.
What they did for me, was block the phone service on the line and kept the messaging and data. That way I am able to use it in my tablet.
Every summer my daughter comes and visit from Germany. I take one of the sim card out of my tablet and put it in her phone..
I call T-Mobile and have them unblock the phone service. That way, my daughter has a phone while she is here in country.
When she leaves I call them back and get it blocked again. I have been doing this for close to 5 years. So I know for a fact it works.
Tomorrow I will be calling to try and get another free line.. (Fingers Crossed)
Hope this helps

search "verizon number port" on ebay and then sort by lowest to high.
Unfortunately, there is an eBay error with their payment system where we can't check out.

Is that on all of them? I thought it was resolved by now. That payment issue was happening yesterday as well. I was refunded by another seller because he said he couldn't access the network. Not sure what's going on. Doesn't necessarily have to be from verizon. Look around for MVNO's from them or ATT or search for "numbers port" and again sort from low to high. Good luck.

EDIT: Would like to add that some people are having success using numberbarn.

Use this to check if the number can transfer:

Existing customer on T-Mobile. Does the iPhone on us deal need a credit check? I was at the point of signing the EIP when I read the fine print it may do a hard credit pull? Anyone know. Thanks
Existing clients do not get an additional credit pull. It's just generic jargon for new clients

You can get the following phones for free with the free line and you do not need to port in a phone number. You do need to pay tax on the normal price of the phone. These phones are currently free with any new line.
Moto G Play
Samsung Galaxy A11
T-mobile Revvl 4
T-mobile Revvl 4+
LG K51
LG Stylo 6
LG Aristo 5

Thanks for the reply. After catching up to 40 pages and getting a headache, I see one post similar to my situation. It seems like I have the same plan as mprabs, but instead, I'll wait 1 year to cancel line 7 - will that affect the free line 8? If I can't cancel line 7 since it's "tied" to line 8, can I cancel the (paid) line 2, making (paid) line 1 and 7 as the required 2 paid lines for insider discount and free lines?

I'm debating switching my Magenta 1.0 to the New Magenta (which everything should stay the same - free lines, costs), but I read that having 9 lines would move me to Magenta9 (?) anyway AND actually making the total cost low? If so, then I won't need to cancel line 7 after a year...
If you cancel line 2 you will definitely violate the 12 month no line cancellation requirement. The safest way is to figure out when you added your last free line, assuming line 6, add 13 months to that, and only start messing around with your plan then. Any changes before then may work, or may result in hours on the phone with support. Your call.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. As far as you know, the "BO" part of the "GO" is not married to each other though right? So after 13 months after the last free line, it can be taken out?
Thanks again for the reply.

No you don't need to. You can assign the new number to a sim, whenever you get it, and then swap it out with another sim when needed.

I do not know if you can remove 1 paid line from your BOGO promo and keep the free line. However, you can probably get a better answer by using your web inspector and getting the exact account discount code for the BOGO. Then ask the group how you can mess with that code. Here are some sample discount codes.

1: {name: "Insider Discount", code: "EMPFNBM"
2: {name: "This One's on Us (AAL)", code: "AALPROMOB"
3: {name: "2020 Line On Us", code: "20Q23P"
4: {name: "2020 Line On Us 2", code: "20Q32P"
5: {name: "2020 Line On Us 4", code: "20Q44P"
6: {name: "Family Discount", code: "FBVDISC"

Yes, I had to pay $20 assistance fee. But, I didn't want to take a chance with mailing in my trade-in phone. Amazingly, I just received a message that my trade-in is complete, and all promos are applied correctly - all in one day. I haven't had a trade-in that was this fast.

The store reps seemed to know about all promos. When I walked in I told them that I want to add a free line, port-in a number, and trade-in Iphone XR for Iphone 12 pro max. I mentioned the promo 2021 Apple Switch Trade, and they simply nodded and did everything.

Simply worth $20 for all the things that needed to be done. Now, I don't have to worry about mailing in my phone, waiting for Assurant to assess my phone, and things like that.
Do you have the promo listed in the My Promotions tab? I see my monthly price added the phone EIP, nothing about the promotion.
