T-Force rep just completed updating my soc to TIULFM9 from FRLTULF2 buy adding LOU 6. Good timing doing this in the early AM hours, as I stumbled upon a rep who was fast and seemed to know her stuff.

I also stacked the T439 promo for a new iPhone 12 on 24-month EIP. I really dislike EIP deals, especially those involving a trade, but I was lured in by the "free" ($830) iPhone upgrade.

The entire process only took about 20 minutes. All assist fees were waived, and free device shipping was included.

Now to sit back and see what my account looks like once the new changes take effect. I should end up with 4 paid and 5 free lines with all of my old discounts applied. Hopefully I see a price drop on my monthly bill like most of the others have seen who have joined the grandfathered 9-line club.
I did that last sept when Lou 4... it's hard to find a good rep... it took a few days for the discounts to show up but mine dropped from 160 to 120... now I'm hesitant to grab anymore lines because I'm scared someone is going to "fix it"... so I missed in December on LOU 5 and now I'm thinking of grabbing this one! Keep us updated on what happens

I did the same on the last free line in December and all promos and discounts carried over to the new SOC. It took around 24-48 hours for all the promos to show under the account. They only had issues with the LOU3 and LOU4 since the code on their end was problematic for a while. T-force rep followed up before and after the bill generated and had to apply the promo for LOU4 once more to make it stick. Since then 2 more bills have generated with all the promos applied effectively.
I added the free line on 3/17 (10th line) and it showed up on the account immediately. I added Iphone 12 promo with trade-in and port-in and that applied the same day also. So looks like the system is generating the promos automatically without glitches.
Great!! Thanks for this. Did your bill go down when switching to new SOC?? I've read that some people were surprised to see their bill go down when changing to new SOC. Thanks again.

I told them numberbarn and it worked fine. I am seeing the correct promo on my account. Why can't we say numberbarn?Confused
Because they will add Number Barn in their exclusion list for the next promo. You are better off saying it's a land line.

No need to worry about adding free lines. I changed my SOC in december and added a free line a couple of days ago. The bill didn't change and the LOU6 promo applied to my account immediately.

I think USCFM4 qualified for the first line on us in 2020 but not the three after that and not this one in 2021. It took me a few tries to finally get someone able to switch me. I kept all my free lines from 2 friends and family from 2016 and 'tis line on us in 2017. Best of luck.
What SOC did you switch to and were you able to keep all the benefits that USCFM4 had (ex. 14gb hotspot, no throttling on streaming) and keep all your previous free lines?

Thanks for sharing the info. As my understanding, the SIM in the phone should already be covered by phone itself and no additional charge. But not a big deal. Smilie
Not sure if others had a different experience. But iPhone 11 from my last year purchase and this one - T-Mo always charged SIM fee separately even if it was already inside the phone.

Yes, the bill went down mainly because of the switch to 9-12 line plan. The new plan starts at 9 lines which is $310 before autopay, and the discounts for autopay, hook up, free lines apply in that order which is why the bill goes down. That is how billing is applied system wide for a 9 line plan and is generated automatically. So adding a free line doesn't change anything until the company makes changes to their system. If that happens whoever is on a 9+ line plan with all the free lines will see their bills go up.

Yup.
On another account was charged $10 for Sim when adding a number online. Bought iPhone 11 at store with trade in and was charge another $10 for Sim. I let them know we already paid for Sim when we added the line but they it is their policy or something.
Was about to jump over the counter and let them have it, Covid or No Covid. But the account holder hold me back. LOL

So in a year I can port out to paid lines to Cricket then wait 90 days and port into the free lines? I have a really good discount I pay 175 for 5 paid lines and 3 free on Magenta Max so don't want to mess anything up. 25 of that is devices so in the end it should be down to 155 for 8 lines give or take.
