So I'm kind of late in joining the TM family and I'm still learning how things work, but I originally had 7 lines with ATT for many years, I finally switched them all to the Magenta Max plan on TM last week.
I believe I got a pretty good deal/upgrade for everyone on my plan, but please let me know your thoughts.

7 Lines on Magenta Max Plan
Unlimited everything
40gb hotspot per line
4k video streaming
Netflix
TOTAL: $260 (same price we paid on ATT but with a limited data plan & no 5g)

**Plus I added the free line recently for a total of 8 lines, so now it's:
$260 / 8 (split between 8 family members) =
$32.50 per line for Magenta Max

Yay or Nay??

Does anyone know how long does trademore take you ship the device? I purchased on Friday but nothing so far and they don't have a customer care number either!
I ordered on Sunday, just got shipping confirmation. IMEI also provided on the shipping confirmation email.

Added the free line at Costco Sunday morning. They had to call in to add my line. The TMO phone rep said I needed to change to magenta. Costco rep and I were confused since I'm already on magenta 1.0. TMO rep said nevermind. They will add the line.

Checked this morning and apparently the phone rep changed my account from magenta 1.0 to magenta without my consent.

Our bill was $128/mo but is now $66/mo. Not sure what happened there.

Magenta®$66.00/mo
Applied discounts and promotions:
$40 AutoPay Discount
$54 Insider Discount
$30 2020 Line On Us
$30 2020 Line On Us 2
$30 2020 Line on Us 3
$30 2020 Line On Us 4
$30 2021 Line on Us 6
Well played my friend. I am officially Jelly lol, I have 6 lines on first responder magenta plan & pay $120. I've been with t-mobile for about 15 years.

Depends on who you ask. It's good if it is costing you cheaper than what you were spending with AT&T.

Did you add the first 7-lines all together or in steps? I am guessing you have third line free and now the 8th line. Did you also do any trade-in for cheap / free premium phones? As this thread is mainly about the free line, there are many who have multiple which brought their average a lot lesser.

Curious why you chose to take Magenta Max vs. regular Magenta. Do you use hotspot that much?

Well like I said, I haven't switched carriers in a long time. So I'm sure I probably missed some type of "slick" opportunity, but I think we did okay.
We are paying slightly less per line with TM then we did with ATT, and we got upgraded to Unlimited plan, 5G access, and Netflix. (We had none of that with ATT).

I did bring all 7 lines at the same time (which come to think of, I probably should have done it in stages, hence why I'm a newbie at this). But I do get the 3rd, 6th, and 8th line for free.

Chose the Magenta Max, because I really hate being limited to SD quality videos on a HD or QHD capable device. It's ridiculous IMO! (Might've been fine with 720p limit though) Plus a few of us are power users, so we didn't want any limits on anything at all.

I also took advantage of the "No Cost to Switch" promo. I brought over 5 (max amount) iPhone 12 mini's from ATT, that I still owed a little over $600 on. So I will be getting those paid off by TM as soon as I get my prepaid MasterCard's.

Overall, I think it's a decent deal for my family at this point. (I will definitely be taking advantage of future "Free Line" promos though)

8 line plan starts with the total amount for paid lines, applies the hook-up discount at the end. 9 line plan starts at $310, applies autopay discount first, hook-up discount next, and then starts discounting the free lines one by one. Lines 3-8 should only be discounted by $20 (after autopay) and the 9 line plan discounts all of them by $30.
Does anyone know if the SOCs TIULFM9 and FRLTULFM9 work the same for the discounting you mention? It seems that FRLTULFM9 would be a better bet to keep my 2017 ""This One's on Us (AAL)." From what I have read, it appears that the AAL code for up to 8 lines (AALPROMOS) may fall off when moving from from FRLTUL4LP to TIULFM9, and then I would have to convince T-Mobile to add back the different AAL code for 9-12 lines (AALPROMOB) to keep that line as free. It appears that AAL code may not drop out when moving from FRLTUL4LP to FRLTULFM9. TIA for any advice on which to pick.

As long as it meets your needs. Good to see that you have what possibly is the BOGO (6th line). Given that you just started with T-Mo, you can ask CS how to get Hookup / Insider discount that "you heard about".

If T-Mo does what they did last year, you can expect a few more such free line offers later on. You just need to make sure your plan supports moving to more than 8-lines.

I didn't think about the insider hookup. I'll go ahead and give it a try. You think I still have a shot at getting the discount with a chat/phone rep??
It's only been a week since I joined! (Oh and the rep said I was approved for up to 15 lines OMG)

Haven't checked, the SIM is in my drawer...LOL
(I want to put it in the new iPhone-12 when I receive it today and then tomorrow I'll move that device to some other line and use an old XR with this new line)!
But why would it get suspended?
We are upgrading the device on that new/free line, so why would they suspend the line itself?
I am not sure either, the rep said she saw the free line promo drop off the new line and another number reserved which i did not recognize. This could be the temporary number that got activated with the iphone 12 i ordered online as an upgrade to the new line.

Also I had this -

My bill was $128/mo then after adding the line

Magenta®$66.00/mo
Applied discounts and promotions:
$40 AutoPay Discount
$54 Insider Discount
$30 19 Magenta Friday Free Line
$30 2020 3rd Line On Us
$30 2020 Line On Us 2
$30 2020 Line On Us 4
$30 2021 Line on Us 6

but now see this
Magenta®$96.00/mo
Applied discounts and promotions:
$40 AutoPay Discount
$54 Insider Discount
$30 19 Magenta Friday Free Line
$30 2020 3rd Line On Us
$30 2020 Line On Us 2
$30 2020 Line On Us 4

hopefully once i get the iphone 12 and activate it , it will correct itself

Did your line show up immediately? 64GB SE is free, whereas 128GB is 49.99.

Was offered free line + iphone se 128gb for $50. Took it even though I have zero need for a new line. Would the best thing to do be popping the SIM into a mobile hot spot as backup for kid's zoom classes?

thanks, but my family of 12 lines just got full (added the 12th line as free line 3/4 days ago).
But I am more interested in that Insider discount which seems to be like 20% !!!
