I did not ask about free line promo, I asked about free iPhone 12 promo that also requires do not have any lines canceled in past 90 days. Term does not say anything what will happen if other line will canceled after new line with free iPhone 12 promo added
Oh in that case you are safe !
The device promo is attached to a specific line so as long as THAT line is not cancelled, the device credit will keep rolling !
The new line will not remain FREE once you cancel a paid line but the device credit will continue to come while this line is active.

I don't know if this was discussed, but I did the Iphone SE promoe (free line plus port). I just ported today and still met the criteria. I almost bought a number last night to complete the port but the rep said it's fine to do it today.

Is there any device offer that doesn't require port-in and will stack with the newly added free line? I missed the port-in part as I was extremely busy at work.

I have 2 quick general questions about the Trade-In of phones:

1. Does a screen replacement affect the value or eligibility of a Trade-In? I have an iPhone XS Max, on which the original display just stopped responding after 2.5 years. So, I had to have the screen replaced at a reputed local Mobile Phone (Non-Apple) repair shop. The screen has been working perfectly fine for the last year, but it's still an aftermarket display.

2. Can the Trade-In device be verified and be completed at a T-Mobile store, if the New device purchase device was done online through their Rep? I have heard on this forum that if the Trade-In is completed at a T-Mobile store, then they check it out right away and assure the final value of the Trade-In that will get applied.

Any response from past experience of the other users on this forum would be very appreciated.

Question on the Costco deal.
I have 3 lines I pay for, and 1 free from the magenta promo when I switched over a few years ago. I ordered the free line online on Sunday for no cost and I got the sim in the mail today.
I am going to go to Costco to get the bogo deal on the S21 and I'll then just sell my S20 FE and S9 locally.
Am I only able to get the 720 rebate? Can I get the other activation rebate even if I get a number to port over? What about getting something like the A71 for 99 on the new line?
Just looking at options and I want to make sure to get the best deal.

Yes. Same trade in but no need the port in. you need to add new number.
Does the line we added from OP's deal count?

Not sure about others but from personal experience there is no relation between phone number/sim card to IMEI to Costco cash card approval. Done total 7 byod lines at Costco with 5 lines no relation between imei and sim/phone #. every rebate delivered
while this may be true, my experience is , you can not use the same imei for submitting a rebate ( Probaly using it for BYOD) while there is a pending rebate on the same IMEI. . i was told i had to enter the same IMEI that i gave it to costco while doing BYOD.

The Costco rep told me the IMEI needs to be correct. He said bunch of Costco employees got fired recently when they did not check the customer real bring phone IMEI ...I guest now the system will be very strict to check.

Sadly it looks like the sudden termination of the T439 promo, free line promo, and other recent promos have created a huge mess for many here who expected they would have more time to get proper trade-in devices, port numbers, etc.

That is why I dislike that T-Mobile is so vague and non-transparent about the expiration dates of most of their promos. It's almost like they want to create stress and confusion for their customers who do not jump in immediately on these deals.
I feel sorry for the reps on all channels. What a headache this creates for them now and then again in a few weeks when it does not work out for many as planned. Totally avoidable.

Added the free line last week with free iPhone SE offer and received the phone yesterday. The rep I spoke to last week said I need to port in after I receive the phone. But my account was showing only 50% back in credits for iPhone SE. I was able to call today and escalate and they said the port in was to be done at the time of adding the line. But they were able to fix the issue today anyway. I was able to port in an inactive Red pocket number that had expired airtime from 6 months ago without issues. This is the first time ever my Magenta Amplified with 4 lines ever qualified for a free line.

Did you get the new T538 device promo stacked with free line? Or you opened a new line?

Agree IMEI needs to be correct. I am just pointing out the fact that after opening new byod line with legit IMEIs. I did not put sim card in the same IMEI phone and still received cash cards.
