After a few days of research, I took a test drive then pulled the trigger last week.
I absolutely love the car and this is a bonkers deal.
I did a blog post where I pulled together everything I learned about the car and the deal. I also added my first fueling experience.

I hope the info helps some of you make your choice. This is a niche car so it's not for everyone, but there's a lot of benefits if you can deal with the issues of owning a hydrogen car.
I went into more details on the refueling experience as well as cost comparison vs gasoline in my review (http://www.zr07.com/2021/03/2021-...lexus.html).

In a world where all electricity comes from gas I suppose hydrogen would start to make some sense.

Can you speak about the cost and features of the extended maintenance package?
https://fuelcellsworks.
- Currently CA has 44 hydrogen fuel stations. These include hydrogen only but most of them are located at regular gas stations.
- 9 are in retail construction
- 39 retail permitting
-16 proposed
- 5 dual passenger and truck stations announced
- 72 retail funded but not in any development stages
So if you to the quick math of adding up the 44 existing partially workin hydrogen stations + 9 new + 39 permitted + 16 proposed + 5 dual + 72 funded = that equals to exactly 44!
That's 44 current and most likely the same number, or even LESS. I bought the 2021 Mirai with this in mind and not going to fool myself otherwise. If you haven't accepted this reality the please do NOT even consider buying this car. As a very few people have said in this channel, I test drove it, did my research, accepted the compromise of limited fueling stations, accepted the high risk of total depreciation, understand the total cost of ownership, and love the car.

It's generally not a good idea to have unpaid taxes beyond the end of the year. You'll incur unnecessary penalties and interest.
