The source code for that game was lost, I believe. The best you will probably get will just be a glorified ROM (e.g. no higher-res models or upscaling, outside of what can be done algorithmically).

Other than that, a "remake" would basically require building the whole game from scratch.

They've been using the lost source code as an excuse for years. Let's be real though, it's been 2 decades since it was released and would need to be rebuilt from scratch at this point anyway. I don't think anything would be salvageable outside of some text and cd quality audio of the soundtrack exists.

This game was a dumpster fire when it first released, weird stutter and screen tearing due to vsync wasn't engaged properly. It's patched now. It's a fun distraction but the whole thing feels half baked. The price does reflect it though, so that's fine.

Would you buy a lump of coal for a dollar? Something that isn't worth the time to play for $50 still isn't worth it at $10.
