Any plans for the developers to add VOLTE support to Lineage or is it impossible? Also, does Wifi calling work with that ROM?
No WIFI calling with the ROM. They can't add VOLTE because there's some proprietary VOLTE implementation that only works on a stock based ROM and nobody has figured out a way around and everyone seems adamant that UT won't ever be figured out.

I've had the opposite experience with Moto phones when it comes to reception and it's caused me to sell all mine. Had them all since the original Motorola E-815 and the Moto G5 was the last Moto that had a strong antenna. I've done extensive testing since I spend so much time in At&t and Verizon fringe areas. You can really tell the difference when you're a sim swapper like me. I just grabbed a G8 Power and a Stylus to test and they both have terrible antennas compared to my S9+ and Huawei phones. All that said, most people will never know how bad Moto's reception has become because they just assume it's their chosen carriers weak signal. A phones antenna design can make a huge difference in weak signal areas.
I've experienced the exact same things with Moto phones too (had a few over the years). It's just typical and what I expect from them along with so so camera performance and a few other shortcomings, but the prices usually reflect what you get. So why is this phone so damn expensive? I mean really? I'm not trying to be a cheap ass but it should be $200 tops. Especially when there's been deals like that a71 5G a few weeks ago for more than a $100 less. And then the fanboys will chime in, "But the specs...". Specs are nothing but numbers on a paper when a phone doesn't work well or have much support after the fact.

Thanks, that's what I figured. Messed around with custom ROMs a few years ago and they usually increase performance, but it almost always seems like you either lose a feature or something just doesn't work quite right.

This ROM works really well except that the camera app isn't that great compared to stick and no VOLTE. Aside from that it's pretty awesome and super fast while also being regularly maintained if you care about security.

It was a fad which thankfully is on its way out. It's a useless feature which only makes the screen easier to crack. Put a typical screen protector on one and then you have the edge of the screen protector a quarter of an inch from the edges. Looks like ass plus it doesn't feel good when you slide your finger over it. Sure they make some curved screen protectors but they get expensive and are a bitch to apply. People that say they like curved screens sound inexperienced to be honest. There's not much to like about them. And it seems to take away from the screen size (the edges aren't usable). Might as well get a phone with a large bezel all the way around LOL.
I have the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G phone and it is impossible to put on a screen protector. It isn't a big curve but they made the display slightly curved where it isn't flat and it won't accept a flat screen protector unless you want the halo effect on the edges. I pretty much put tempered glass screen protectors on all my phones except for the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G. With or without the screen protector, the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G onscreen fingerprint sensor is way worse compared to the Motorola G Stylus rear fingerprint sensor. Way too many "Fingerprint doesn't match" from Samsung. Google and Motorola fingerprint sensors do it much better there but I can't speak for the Moto Edge onscreen fingerprint sensor. If my thumb is cold, I pretty much need to swipe my pattern password with Samsung optical fingerprint sensor. Quite annoying and bit of a disappointment from Samsung there.

Don't think finger print readers (on screen) work too well with most phones (not like the dedicated ones). This edge phone here would be the exact same way (don't believe it has a rear or side fingerprint reader either).

I am in NY (Long Island) so I have really solid reception overall with RedPocket AT&T. With my unlocked (t-mobile) Samsung Galaxy A71 5G phone using RedPocket AT&T, I had some people say that they sent me a text message but I never received it in the very beginning when I had the phone. Now the phone works perfectly fine and I always get my messages. Maybe the phone has been updated and been ironed out. It wasn't even a 5G thing because I turned off 5G in order to save battery life.... I still definitely do show up more wifi signals with the Motorola phone. When connected to wifi with Samsung, it never disconnects as it has a strong connection. Bluetooth is very strong as well when connected.
I should have stated that Moto phones have weak antennas when it comes to voice reception. I've never really payed much attention to Wifi or Data. I'm guessing all this will change eventually when voice calls become 100% VoltE.

Motorola has better reception with reception signal but also with wifi. My Samsung doesn't lose reception wifi reception once connected but my Motorola recognizes more wifi signals around me. The antenna must be stronger. For some odd reason I can get an Optimum wifi signal at my house with my Motorola but I can't get that same Optimum wifi signal with my Samsung. Very odd.... When I go outside to other areas with Optimum wifi signal, my Samsung can find and use Optimum though.
Well, forgot to tell about their connection. They use cellular data only and don't use WiFi

I traded my old iphone 7 256GB and paid extra $100 cash for a like new Moto Edge from craigslist couple of days ago. This guy must hate the phone but I found it is not bad at all. Yes the phone is very tall and the display area is not much bigger than LG G8 that I am using as 6.7" vs. 6.1" sounds like.

This is my first time to try 5G in T-mobile network. I consistently saw 40~60 Mbps download speed that is barely faster than 4G. I just came back from Shanghai and 5G speed is about 500 Mbps almost everywhere. US Infrastructure is really doomed.

Works great on my Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. I might even go so far as to say it works better than the dedicated fingerprint readers that I've used.

Count yourself lucky, usually hear complaints about most phones.

Agreed, my oneplus 7t in-screen fingerprint reader is about as accurate as my old Moto Z Play, both have been reliable for me.

This is a piece of garbage phone. Look at the benchmark cores. Terrible. Look at the reviews. Terrible. Only 6GB or RAM is totally lame. OP should be ashamed of himself for posting this garbage.
1. This is not a flagship level phone that costs $1,000 or more. The specs are very respectable for this price point.

2. Judging by the TU on the post and many of the comments, I'd say lots of people don't agree with your comment.

3. I don't know the OP personally but I'd say like most of us here, there's a 99% they didn't get anything in return for sharing this deal. Saying that someone should be ashamed of themselves for posting is not only exaggerated but just plain stupid.

4. If you hate this phone so much, why are you even here?

5. Instead of talking shit, why don't you go post a deal for a brand new unlocked phone from a reputable brand at this price that has better specs?

This seems like a pretty damn decent deal for the price. I'm tempted to snag one for when I inevitably break my current phone.
