Different people have different priorities for their portables. Some tablets are much more expensive than this chromebook and yet many people still buy them.
Hope your question has been answered.

Only cons - 1) Battery life is low. Like 4-6 hours low. You can charge it via usbc and any battery pack will work so that's good at least. 2) There is some issues with the blacks being too black on low brightness. This does bother me a little while watching netflix in bet with the brightness down but it's not terrible. Here is a good redit thread about it and a workaround fix https://www.reddit.com/r/chromeos...cks_

They may be out there, and I'd be interested to read them, but ChromeOS is so targeted at minimal horsepower CPUs that I've rarely read a meaningful review of an Intel-based model - especially one using the higher power Core-series - that said "I wish it had a little extra oomph"!
Instead what I've usually read are reviews like those for Google's higher end models that note the system to be snappy but otherwise feeling like the premium CPU seems overkill for the typical load demanded of the system.
Good luck!

I immediately switched to using this for all laptop video consumption!
