Or maybe they purposely kept them at 30fps to replicate them as they were when they first released..
That's one of the most embarrassing stan takes I've ever read.
Why not keep them at 640x480 to also "replicate" them as when they first released lmfao.
There's literally no upside to lowering FPS. Or are you still one of those people living in 2008 where you think 30 fps is a more "cinematic" experience

No, I'm one the people that know that changing the aspect ratio doesn't have an impact on gameplay, but increasing the FPS does change timing. They would no longer feel like their original games.
Nintendo stopping the eShop sale of this title is in line with preservation?
WiiU running same titles in 1080p 60fps opposed to 720p 30/60fps is also in the name of preservation?
Nintendo Apologist please queue up to continue to open up your hearts and wallets to your saviors (-_-)=b
I'm sorry, did an entirely new generation of people not just get the opportunity to pick up these games in their original form for the past 6 months if they wanted them? Did it not sell millions of copies? Then I'd call that preservation. You can argue that it'd be best if they sold it for longer but here's a little industry secret... all physical games eventually go out of printing. And digital games get removed when their stores eventually get shut down. Just ask Wii, Wii U, PS3 and PSVita.
And if you knew better, you'd know that changing the frame rate changes the timing. It would feel off for most people that had played the games in their original form if they increased to 60 FPS.
It's not about being an apologist, it's understanding their reasoning for not changing the games. Especially if their goal was just to preserve the games as they were, and offer them to a new generation.
Literally nobody ever: keep that fps low so I can time jumps better in a platformer!
Why not just offer an option in the menus for 30 or 60?
This is an awful port there's no way anyone down voting has played it.
The most embarrassing part is the pricing. $60 msrp for a lazy emulator copy paste. Literally endless amount of examples of vastly superior ports for less money.
Anyone who justifies this port and its pricing has got to be the most shameless fanboy in existence. It's chock full of quirky bugs to boot.
Wow what a jerk. Cope harder. Everyone who bought the game already has justified the pricing. Key here is most aren't overly obsessed fanboys like you. The games play about what I recall them being and I can't really say I really noticed any bugs. I'm sure there are plenty but sometimes you just don't care. Hence the sale of this game. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out.
Your entire post sounds like a redditor who got lost and posted on the wrong site, very cringe .
It plays no worse than I can tell from the original.

Actually people do ask to go back to 30 FPS for jumping in Dark Souls after modding it to go above, because the FPS is tied to the physics, something no one would have predicted.
I agree it's a lazy port but also people complained that Super Mario 1 relrelease in the original all stars was bad because it changed the graphics but looking back 20+ years later it is still nice to have an official copy of the game running on that system. For a random kid who has never seen any console besides the switch this still opens up dozens of hours of discoveries. Plus they completely went into Sunshine's code to make options for people who can't use motion controls on the switch lite so it's not just a copy and paste emulator port.
Big cash grab by Nintendo by creating artificial demand. Big TD
Once again, you cannot create artificial demand when it was fully available on the Eshop to everyone until the end date. A limited production time is not the same as creating artificial demand. Car manufactures and beverage companies do it constantly and nobody bats an eye.
I don't. And I want it... Kind of. I made a conscious decision not to buy it because of the limited time BS. Seeing that it's still so easy to get though, I'm considering it.

I gotta ask u:
Why not get it used for cheap and move on? No need for a brand new one since it just the case and the game. No artwork nor manual included 🧐
So much for not being able to buy it after March 31st 😂
It sold like a turd since the "updated graphics" turned out to just be slightly better textures and some antialiasing. Super Mario Galaxy is still a good game but 64 is too ugly for most people to want to play and Sunshine is passable but pretty far outside the normal Mario gameplay for a lot of people. With Bowser's Fury releasing shortly afterward most people who were interested picked 1 of the 2 offerings and the newer game won.

All the targets around my area had 1-3 in stock so there certainly isn't any rush but this might push some folks over.
