Perfect size for our bedroom to replace an older Insignia that is on the way to dying. We have the 58"version of this and it has been great for the price.
Need the size, hate the series. Any other recommendations? Im all in on a 6 series TCL but I'm limited to 50" at most.
Curious if you could expand on why you hate the series? What makes it inferior compared to other series? Is it because it's an older model or lower specs? Thanks! Trying to educate myself to make a better decision.
My sister has this one, from using it a bit The Roku Interface is great, But Picture Quality and Colors get washed out, Definitely not Great for a Main screen, About as low as you can go on rtings too. That's my 10cents

I have a 4, 6 and 8 series. The 8 is outstanding picture quality (got great deal on it), and the 6 punches well above its weight and I think is appropriate for any room where you watch a lot of TV.
The price is right with the 4, but it is what it is... a $300 TV (cheaper than that but that build quality) with a built in Roku interface. Very good for guest rooms / offices or anywhere that can't handle larger TVs. Don't think the 6 series comes this small.

Yea so the higher the Series, the better the specs. It changes every year however so its a bit harder to keep up with, who knows, they might go by letter next year. Anyways, the specs are significantly lower, such as refresh rate, the colors, the panel, etc etc. As my suggestion, if you're getting a TCL I would say start with 5 series. Samsung, no lower then a 7 model. LG is pretty spot on....hisense, stick with the highest/priciest they got, Vizio, I will no longer even roll the dice wit them, TCL has overtook them for sure
Anyone know the difference between this and the 43S435 that is going for $260? I can't find any specs that differ. I thought maybe Walmart got a unique model number, but it also sells the 435. I just bought the 435 from BB and was going to price match, but see the models are different and am wondering if I should return it and opt for this one.
