Also, remember to check you local grant and incentive programs. In my area, San Joaquin Valley, CA, any battery powered trimmer over $100 you can submit for a $50 rebate. Worth researching. Can anyone comment on how this would compare with the Greenworks G-max (entry level) line? I'm torn because I have a dewalt tool set that uses these batteries, but I'd also like to get a Greenworks mower.

Was planning on grabbing the same blower from HD this weekend for $170ish but this deal sold me. Don't need the trimmer just quite yet but would be nice to have it and use if necessary.

I almost didn't get into this stuff because I had a separate gas-powered power head with all the attachments. I'm glad I did. The battery is enough to weed-wack and blow almost 4 separate relatively small lawns (sub-division) before needing charged. And the lighter weight is very nice.

Pass for me after viewing reviews.

I've got a excellent corded, but awkward to wrangle 100' cord to ends of my property.
A junky electric 12v blackn'decker string trimmer
A decent 4stroke torro (I think) trimmer, rototiller, but it's noisy....gas power (fumes, maintenance, etc)

Just as an FYI, I can't tell if this newer model is compatible with the bigger guard from the previous gen but it looks like it suffers from the same small guard issue. The larger guard is here: https://www.amazon.com/Black-Deck...B07KGGGL4Z (N512929) and makes the previous gen trimmer so much better. Again, don't know if it's compatible with DCST922P1 here but it is compatible with DCST920P1 and older so I'm assuming it will be.
