Just checked my Amazon order history and we paid $75 for our OBi202 back in May 2013. Best ROI on anything I've ever bought. Using Google Voice for nearly eight years now with no landline phone bills, previously around $40/month or $500/year, means we've saved about $4000 on our $75 investment. Highly recommend this.

Why is this getting expensive? The same used to get on sale for less than 30.
The OBi202 has never been $30 unless it was in error. You may be thinking of a different model.

Been using an Obi with GV as my "house" phone for 3-4 years now - although 90% spam calls, 10% my mom. My 90yo mom's home phone, too. Love GV!

Same for me. I don't even remember when I initially set up my obi/GV landline but it's been that way for years. I don't use it too terribly often but it's nice to have. I got in on this as my original obi now seems to go offline randomly and also loses power. New power brick, new lan cable, nothing has fixed it so I'm guessing it's just too old and dying.

I have this from a few years back, no fax option, but my cordless phone are shot being maybe over 20-years old. Anyone know the best deal going for a 2 phone cordless set? Link to cell might be nice but not totally necessary.

We're very happy with our Panasonic KX-TG885SK set. That's the 5-handset version, but I'm sure there's a 2-handset equivalent. We had Panasonic before this set and it's still going strong in my parents' home. (We needed more handsets.)

In for one. I've had GV account (number) forever and still have rare but important occasions where I must fax sensitive documents. Finally a use for my GV number and NOT have to have a landline! Thanks OP! 👍& Rep!

Please note that if you are using this with GV, you will need some kind of E-911 service. Otherwise, if you call 911 from that GV line, the operator will not have your address automatically pop up. I've been using this for about 4 years now and use Anveo for E911. It only costs me $18/year.

The Obi200 is $49 if you only need one phone port. Mine is connected to my house legacy wiring and enables every legacy phone throughout the house.

Polycom bought obihai in 2018 and since then these devices that work with google voice have been going for a premium.

You may already know that the OBi200 does support fax, but you have to share the voice line on one phone port. I use mine for a rare outgoing fax over GV. You can add another device to your Obitalk account but it will need to go through the usual setup; you can't just copy settings from your first device.
As for the setup with new device. I plan to use existing GV number. Do I need to deactivate my GV number with the first device first. Or that shouldn't be an issue. And yes, that why I want to upgrade to new device. So I can use it for phone and fax.

In for one to replace an aging older obi device that seems to be flaky.
Me too. My 202 from 2015 cuts off calls and reflashing the latest firmware hasn't improve anything. I order a replacement from Amazon. The newer black one will look nicer with the rest of my equipment lol
