One of those opened boxes is probably mine. I just returned one... Some of the worst ghosting on a screen I've have ever seen. Extremely unacceptable for a gaming laptop. I was very sad because the rest of the laptop was very nice. Went with a Lenovo legion 5 with a 115w 2060 instead and very happy and it's actually faster in games and runs quieter. Plus the screen is awesome and was $400 less.

Too much trouble to add a webcam and change the horrible silver keys in Gen 2 I see. Too bad.

Bought an open box geek squad certified model last week. I love this laptop. It's so light and portable yet plays like a desktop when I plug it into my old desktop rig. Selling my old desktop and components to cover some of the cost. Also, this may be the best sounding laptop on the market.

Sadly I'm seeing a lot of people still complaining about the ghosting like last year's model. I wish I could find a store that has one on display, but none do. I'd love to check one out in person before dropping that much on one.

Thunderbolt belongs to Intel so unless Intel wants to give up their advantage, I don't see it happens anytime soon. But I do agree with u about the SD card reader.

This model was named one of the best gaming laptop last year. It was the form factor for many users including me. I got one brand new sealed from the local guy for only $900 so I'm super happy 😋

Given that it's Best Buy, you can always take it back within 14 days if it doesn't do what you need it to do. Shouldn't be much risk.

Good deal if you didn't grab a G15 with the 80-95w 3060 for $1499

Be aware the G14 has a ~10ms screen response time, even though it runs at 144hz.

Bought one a couple of days ago and just had the price adjusted.

The only regret I have is the lack of open bay for a second SS hard drive. The 1TB HD is barely enough for me. I guess I could swap a 2TB SSD in the future. [youtu.be]

Thunderbolt is not necessary related to an Intel CPU. If you think about it, both the new iPad Pro and Macbook Air/Pro have Thunderbolt support, and they do not use Intel CPUs. At this time Thunderbolt support is just a matter of certification -- if a laptop maker wants to add it, they can.
