no need to bring the item back, buy one at lower price and return it right away using the old receipt. win-win.

Costco has 90 day on certain electronics, routers should be one of those items now.

I noticed it lost connection once in last 3 days. May have been a modem glitch. Wondering if it's stable for others. upgraded to the 2.0.5.205568

How long was the disconnection? Did it reconnect quickly?

nope. costco customer service told me the router I returned falls under "costco satisfaction guarantee" after he told me that, I realized if I EVER have any issue with a router failing or starting to be dumb, I can get full refund.

so I actually... re ordered it. and I took back the Sams club 150 one, I noticed further ranges quite a bit more, so I am biting bullet and just keeping the newest greatest type deal. even though its 2x2 instead of 4x4. I am dumb, I just didn't like buying a lesser router when I know there was a better/future proof option available at the same time that maybe I will or room mates will have 6ghz devices one day.

quick google pops up people asking same question, -- routers are indeed a regular electronic and get lifetime guarantee, verified on phone and verified at my store. I called before I placed an order.

, the 90 day return policy is very explicit.
Electronics: Costco will accept returns within 90 days (from the date the member received the merchandise) for Televisions, Projectors, Major Appliances (refrigerators above 10 cu. ft., freezers, ranges, cooktops, over-the-range microwaves, dishwashers, washers and dryers), Computers, Touchscreen Tablets, Smart Watches, Cameras, Aerial Cameras (drones), Camcorders, MP3 players and Cellular Phones (return details will vary by carrier service contract).

Oh ok gotcha, then from Costco, what do you think of these two:

https://www.costco.com/tp-link-archer-c4000-tri-band-wi-fi-router.product.100418449.html

https://www.costco.com/netgear-nighthawk-6-stream-ax4300-wifi-6-router.product.100523245.html

I have a Costco membership as well. I want to be able to get the closest to the rated 1000mbps I can over Wifi for a $150 router budget or less.

I will be honest, I prefer TP link, my friends all have them and LOVE them. Netgear I read are hardware monsters but buggy upon releases and bad customer service. so those two I feel are tied.

I feel this is better than both by a large bit.

if you can stretch, 50 more dollars.- people seem to love this. - its 100 bucks off. and costco is cheaper than anywhere else, so this would prob be much more anywhere else. but that costco guarantee!! can return if doesnt work.

edit, its only on sale til the 15th for 100 off. there's a few front pages about it.

That is what I have read as well with Netgear and has made me side more on this Linksys one instead.

The Nighthawk one is out of my budget a decent amount, but a Netgear product also.

The Linksys does have a 3 year warranty though printed on the box from what I saw in store today. Although the local store I went to is OOS, I will need to go to another one. And CC adds another year warranty, I am not sure how Sams Club works with their warranty though.

The idea of also using a 2/3 router linking option has been floated around by people too as an alternative to a single router, I am not sure how much more reliable that is though in terms of getting as close to advertised speeds over wifi are.

The Linksys mr9610 was working fine for me. I think it would be great for you. But since I had both mr7500 and 9610, I noticed the 7500 reached further, I have almost a 3k house. The 7500 reached past my house like 3 houses down kind of deal.

The 9610 was 2/1 bar outside my brick wall on outside

Get the Linksys. You'll love it

Me, I'm ridiculous and I'm paying triple the cost for a hair better range and tri band 6ghz for future proofing

If you keep the box + receipt. Ie. I had a hose that said 5 year warranty, I couldn't locate the company, I went to Sam's club, and gave them receipt box that said 5 years and hose that had a hole in it w the receipt

They gave me full refund.

I plan to do this with all items here on out from Sam's with longer warranties
I got a box in attic I toss that shit in

No problem, I understand, thanks. I am in a just over 2K home, from the router to my computer is about 20-25 ft, but through multiple walls.

For the Linksys, it is only dual band vs tri-band. Do you think they will make a big difference for reliable speeds? Seems like tri-band runs a 2.4 and 2 - 5 ghz connections.

I was also looking on this from Costco, seems to be not as powerful, but provides more consistency to get max speeds? https://www.costco.com/tp-link-de...77095.html
