The 11th Gen WERE shipping during BF, but the deals were only on the 10th Gen.
Huge Generational Difference.
The SCREEN on this laptop is actually a quality screen in both NITS and Resolution.
The BF deals did not have this quality screen....
The BUILD Quality for the mid-tier laptops, this is a high-quality build with better chassis, keyboard, trackpad, etc.. etc....
The SSDs were smaller on bottom-tier....
And no....In General, there were not any long-standing deals for any i5s at $300. Perhaps a 5-minute deal, but those were the older i3s....Any i5 deal that was not OOS in under 5minutes for the i5 was closer to $350.
And if you are lucky to have the AMEX deal, then this is only $420....
Blowing away even BF deals if you have the AMEX deal.

Are you saying that it's possible to call and get the price reduced by $37 by having them cancel the McAfee which is included in the deal?
But the right click has a cheap feeling to it and makes this cracking weird sound. You can tell it apart easily and that it "maybe" defective.
Because the deal says it comes with
"Security Software
McAfee LiveSafe 12 Month Subscription"
So if you order it, you could in theory, call them up afterwards, and get them to deduct that and reduce the price by $37?
With some jumping through hoops and being put on hold by someone who speaks English with an incomprehensible accent of course.
McAfee SUCKS!
Thanks.
Do they actually pay McAfee for this or something? Because who wants McAfee...

I received the credit too, which I'm happy about. I just hope I didn't screw them out of the ~$35...
