That hilton grand vacations is a time share bait and switch in case you missed the fine print. Thanks for the posting everything in one location though!
Yep, used Hertz exclusively for decades and last October they managed to kill all that good will in one rental experience. I'm not sure what I'll use going forward, but will do all I can to avoid them despite my membership. AFAIC they should merge with United and beat up customers in tandem.
@Slacky
Do your self a favor - run before they burn you.
A lot of others quickly went to Avis frequent traveler program. I held on - I got burnt.
If u have points left, just use them and run. Avis is what everyone else went. Otherwise, Costco is an option.
They are now about getting anything they can get from customers and run away - they will not be in biz for long.
Hertz? Try Enterprise. They almost ruined spring break for me and my kids. Apparently when you reserve a car its not reserved and they dont guarantee it. Almost ruined my familys spring break before I found the car somewhere else. This also happened to a friend who "reserved" a car for her elderly father who got into a car accident. Waited a week past reservations date to get the car

I only use Avis. Great experience and price in my opinion
Any tips for "cheaper" rentals this summer, going to be in portland this summer. Have costco membership, already use autoslash and costco travel. I appreciate it if anyone has tips. Considering Turo.
Hertz customer service sucked years before the bankruptcy. In the end I got the car with them but customer service, cleanliness, employee quality was poor.
Enterprise, for example, has been better for me but I've only used them about 3 times. Pretty sure they're usually the best though.
Any idea where the budget code comes from D467000?
No clue, but my reservation did include this note...
"This reservation was made using a corporate BCD (Budget Customer Discount Code) that requires validation of eligibility. Please be prepared to produce your company ID, business card, or a recent email with the company's email domain (e.g. @xyzcompany.com) for employment verification purposes when picking up your vehicle. Had to travel for work and rent a car and they had zero at a major US airport and after they found one it was quoted at $475 a DAY for a standard! Y'all better check these prices out!
