Own this same clear case for my regular 12. It cracked at the bottom near the speaker and lightning port within a day or two with no drops or damage. Had it replaced, it did it again. Bought a silicone case, moved on, and never looked back.
This has been a known issue with Apple's clear cases, more specially on the iPhone XR models. Enough to where Apple has a special section in their VMI (what they use to determine if something is covered under warranty, among other things) specifically stating this is covered under warranty as a manufacturing defect.
Wouldn't buy this even at $20
This is iphone 12 mini, prob less likely to crack.
my mom has this for her iPhone 12 too and there's no cracks. When you insert the iPhone into the case it demonstrates on the box that you should insert it in on the left side with the volume buttons and press it down on the right. my guess is you pushed it down on the bottom.
Just picked up this case, but definitely going to return it. It's pretty slippery and the no bottom protection is more of a bummer than I thought it was going to be.
