Amazon's different. Sometimes, inventory from 3rd party sellers can get mixed in with their regular inventory. I don't see how that happens at Best Buy.

How do you know it was fake btw?

Still a rumor. Not confirmed. And at least not until the iPhone 13s come out. They've reduced production capacity to 80% to concentrate on the bigger phones.

And not "clearance" prices. Has been deep discounted a month ago, too, on a Deal of the Day special.

I got my bulletproof Otterbox case for my TMo Samsung S21 at deep discount from Verizon. And that phone is certainly not getting discontinued.

How do you know it was fake btw?
I've owned the OEM leather case for each of my iPhones. This one felt different initially, and the grain was slightly different too. Went to the apple store, and theirs was a bit softer leather. Could not tell unless you were specifically looking for it.

Months in, there's still no patina at all in the case, just what looks like wear on the corners.
