They are not usually worth the price they are asking, but at these prices (if you are ok with the color) they are pretty much a very good deal. It works like any other insulated bottle though. You're just getting a more luxury brand.... which is all the rage in modern society.
Honestly yes... I have a few and the work great keeps water cold and coffee hot...
Costco 2 pack 40oz bottles goes on sale from time to time for about $17. I only use it for room temp water so I can't comment on its ability to keep things cold/hot.

Those are thermoflasks.
Yup, my mistake. Check out this blog: https://adventuresofrayna.com/pro...ermoflask/

So you gain a few degrees 6 hours later with the hydro. Decide if it is worth it.

Iron Flask on Amazon. Comes with the better lid.

I take it there are probably a few alternatives that work about the same, any recommendations?

Hydroflask.com or on Amazon cheaper price comes with 3 different types of lids. And always around this price. Definitely well worth it and better color options.

I have to agree. As much as i love costco, I have both and the hydrofask always last hours longer than the thermoflask, unless mine is defective.
This depends on usage scenario. There are video reviews of the Thermoflask doing better. I have both and Thermoflask does better keeping cold for me. I don't use it for hot.

I've sent two Hydroflask bottles back to them because the insulation failed.

I'm in the market for one of their 20 something ounce trail series bottles though.

I was always under the impression Hydroflasks were not dishwasher safe because of the powdercoating.

Didn't realize it could affect the insulation.

I'm sorry but if you only use the bottles for room temp water, why bother getting insulated bottles at all?

WHY NOT? Still keeps room temp water cooler when you go out in the hot sun, and you have options if you do want ice or heated water at any time. Why call someone out for their choice in water bottle?

In my experience, I've had better results with Klean Kanteen (multiple sizes) and Yeti (only 1).

Hydro Flask is decent but not as good as these two. The warranty process has been smooth with Hydro Flask, but not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing (had to use several times).

Best value has been Costco Thermoflask, but results go to KK, Yeti, and HF.

Project farm on YT would beg to differ.

Slickdeals did their own test a while back
https://slickdeals.net/article/buying-guide/tumbler-comparison-test-yeti-vs-rtic-and-ozark-trail/

Project farm is usually very good but he failed not including ozark. Comparing insulated to plastic was just weird, and basically you can judge these by form factor as the vac/air gap is probably less with the slimmest models.
