I don't think I have used this brand, but cheese powder is great for making cheese sauces. Mix some with milk or water, browned hamburger, and egg noodles, and you have a nice "hamburger helper". How about some cheese sauce for nachos? Or as a dip. And of course, there is always mac & cheese.
2 pound white cheddar much better value.

Can someone explain to me common uses for this? I have to imagine it isn't snorting it.

It's simpler to just say 4 tablespoons. Big Grin

Mac & Cheese.

* Cook 1 cup of pasta
* In a pot, add 1/2 cup of milk and heat up on medium low.
* When you see bubbles, add 3-4 tablespoon of powder cheese and a bit of butter (1 tbsp). Stir until smooth.
* add cooked pasta and stir.

Can add toppings of your choice, like bacon bits, black pepper, dried chili, etc.

I always swear by adding a slice or two of deli (not plastic sleeved) American cheese to this kind of cheese sauce. Even if it's boxed Mac and cheese, it's a game changer.

You seem like you know what you're talking about. Is this better for mac and cheese or the white cheddar in your opinion?
Yellow cheddar has coloring, usually annatto seed extract.

Please don't do American cheese. That's processed cheese :-/

That would be $200 bucks that you'd be saving !!

*Plus think of all you could create if you can figure out how to feed the powder into a 3D printer, [google.com]

Good catch, I think I have had that a few times.

Oh, yes. I would sometimes take a baked potato, remove part of the middle with a spoon, and then fill it with heaping cheese and bacon. Heat in the microwave to melt the cheese.

Oh that'd be cool! Although I'd have to hold out for the butter powder printer...

Agreed, white cheddar is far superior!

There is only one difference. One is dyed with annatto, the other isn't.

Looks delicious. Knowing me, I'd finish the container within a week so I'm not buying it

Is this the same powdered cheese that's in Craft Mac & Cheese boxes?
