The circular saw has been used a few times for rough cuts with the included blade and no complaints for this purpose. I wouldn't attempt cuts that require any major precision (and certainly not with the included blade).
The reciprocating saw was used once to cut some small branches from a tree. The cut stroke seems short and the included blade did not last long, but it got the job done. I'd imagine it would work much better with a higher quality blade.
The light is just OK. It works well on flat surfaces and can be angled sufficiently up or down. The light beam is a bit narrow and not extremely bright, but it's very light-weight and easy to carry and move around.
The batteries have never died on me during a project, but then again, these have never been used for an extensive project.
At this price I'd say this is a good deal, and the set is fine for basic household projects.
