Sam's used to have a chat bot that was handy for checking in store inventory for things like this. The link I have no longer works. Anyone know if they still have it and how to access?
I just picked up two pro controllers from Sam's Club in Annapolis, MD (21401 Zip) for 34.91 each. I had to go to customer service and ask for them to do an inventory check using the item number as they did not have anything on display.
These are located in the cages. Need a associate manager to unlock the cage. My Sam's at Albany, GA only had Joy cons left. One of them came broken. I need to head back tomorrow and return them.
I went to my local Sam's Club. I found the display where the gaming items are sold. They had several item slips in the sleeve for the Switch Pro Controllers. I took them to the Customer Service Desk and they looked up the inventory for me and said they had 7 in stock at the $34.91 price. I went to a register and gave the cashier the item slip and they went to the back cage and could not find any. I went there as well and there were none in stock. While I can understand if they showed 1 or 2 in the system, but how could 7 be missing?

The person working the customer service desk bought them right after you checked the inventory count and before you checked out.
Never call the store or check inventory at customer service desk!
Hmmm. Are they clearing inventory for the Switch 2?
My local sams club stopped carrying all video games and accessories years ago so it could be also that the other stores are going to stop carrying accessories now.

I did not call. I asked while I was in the store. I can 100% guarantee that the middle aged lady didn't run to the electronics cage to quickly buy the Switch Pro Controllers. I was right there and could see the cage. Nobody went to the cage and took anything out. More likely an employee had previously stashed them somewhere else in the store well before I got to the store. Since the items are not on the shelf you have to have employees check the inventory because more than 50% of the time there is no actual stock for the items so you would end up paying for items that are not actually in stock and have to wait for a refund after they go to the electronics cage only to discover there are none.
Recently asked an associate to check stock on games and he said the tags are all out on the display. We went and looked and there were a few. Finally convinced him to go check the cage and almost everything in the cage didn't have a tag on the floor, stuff with tags wasn't in the cage. It's a mess. Finally he let me scan all the stuff with my phone and I got a stack of clearance stuff.

I feel like they dont want to sell games anymore. My local store is nearly down to just online gaming refill cards.
