Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose
Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.
For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

Most reps won't do this.

You need the IMEI for them to process the trade in.
Many will, I have done it four times. But the caveat is I had to go back to chat and provide the IMEI before the promo ended. Otherwise, they won't process it once the promo has expired.

Will the IPhone XR from simple mobile work for a trade in? Phone is still "tied/locked," to original carrier even though it's paid off and it's a prepaid...any help is appreciated...

On their website is says:

"See how to save $830 when you join & trade in an eligible iPhone"

So the offer is for new customers joining T-Mobile.
You're looking at the wrong promo

As long as it not black listed and it meet all the trade-in requirements then you're good to go. Locked or unlocked, don't matter at all.

I traded in for my iPhone 11 to get the 24 months credit like this deal. Now I have 6 more installments, can I trade in my iPhone 11 for this iPhone 12 without losing the remaining 6 months credit??

I have A71 5g from previous deal with T-Mobile. Can I trade that in if it's not fully paid off? T-Mobile currently credits me for the monthly payment so I don't have any incentive to pay off and lose credits. Any idea how I can trade in and retain credits on A71? TIA
You have to pay it off to get this deal.

1 EIP per line, but you can have multiple reoccuring decice credits per line.

Nice. And thanks for the response! Sales tax here is close to $85, so double that for two phones, plus the $50 for each line, and $10 shipping. It's about $20 shy of $300. But yeah, don't mind paying the $50 if it's going towards paying off the bigger GB phone
ahhh so lucky...my shipping is $10 per phone...I bought 2 so $20 shipping for me... tax and shipping for me was almost $200 per phone...I paid $600 up front per phone for the most expensive phone GB. Why are u paying only $10 shipping for 2 phones? Shouldn't it be $20?

What if the phone works but the screen is cracked (still turns on and everything)? Will that work for the trade in?
