Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose
Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.
For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

Then what happens to the traded device?
I have iPhone 8 Plus with non T-Mobile network
I want to trade in this device to get iPhone 12 and I'm paying the remaining full price while purchasing
Now if I move out of T-Mobile, how much should I pay?
After you pay off and move out, You won't get any credit and lose the old phone.

The iPhone 12 deals have been terrible. Around this time last year you could get $1,000 an iPhone 11 Pro from AT&T. Verizon eventually offered a total of $1,350 off in credits and Verizon gift cards. I don't remember what T-mobile was offering. I am holding out for at least $1,000 off from T-mobile.

the same for me . did you find out why. tmobile kept saying taxes

1099.99 256 Pro + 100 Tax = 1200 retail
830 Credit+24 payments of 13.54 (324) +200 upfront = 1324
1324-1200 = 124,why am i paying 124 more
Still waiting for CSR to call back. I had no issue ordering in store other than paying for the $20 fee. I had to order online because they didn't have gold or silver 256gb in stock.

Anyone k ow for sure I can do these free trade in promo again on same like by paying off the previous promo in full and still can EIP credit on both phones? I traded in an old phone for the free Samsung A32 recently . Supposed to be free with monthly credit but I just paid the phone in full $283 and traded in my iPhone XS to get the iPhone 12. Will I receive both credits? Don't want to keep paying off something that is free and not get credits.

The rest of the value is perhaps for your trade-in that will be credited to your account once they receive the trade-in.

You get a one time bill credit for the diff. I am trading an iPhone 7 and getting a one time $40 bill credit and 20.42/mo x 24mos ($490) for a total of $530.

Can we move out of t-mobile after purchasing?
Any limitations or penalties?
What do you mean? After purchase, if you leave, you will not get any bill credits and will have to pay the full price.

This is only good if you are happy with T-Mobile and not going anywhere for 2 years.

I'm thinking of trading in my iPhone 6S for an iPhone 12 Mini. I'm currently on a family plan with a family member. If somewhere down the line my family member wants to cancel/find some other phone plan, would I be able to switch my plan to a pre-paid T-Mobile Connect plan and still get the credits for the phone? I'm wondering if I should make the switch now, knowing I might potentially have to pay it back later. Any advice for me? Thanks in advance!
No credit for you. You will have to pay the full balance that is owed.

Do these promos share the same maximum number of lines per account?
I used 1 T574 and 1 T575, can I take advantage of one more T575 or am I maxed out already?

Just went to 2 stores, associates says no trade for back glass crack.☹️☹️☹️
They don't know. I spoke with 3 stores, 3 reps and I got different answers. I finally got hold of a person at T-Mobile who read and verified that you can trade in with back glass broken. I even asked him to put notes on my account so that I am not in trouble later. I went to a store today who knew you can trade in with broken back glass and I traded in my X for 12 pro.
