Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose
Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.
For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

If you order a phone from Swappa, do you get the IMEI number immediately via email?
Copied the below from Featured Comments. I purchased from seller TPSC and got IMEI right away.

costco has several other deals (BOGO, $150 or $300 GCs) but this deal can also be done at costco (which they call market offer). basically it is same as tmobile online or tmobile instore deal except that at costco you dont pay $10 sim+ $20 upgrade support charge. on top of it , you also get $30 costco gc via rebate.
thats total of $60 per line savings by avoiding tmobile store.
Vs tmobile online you end up paying $10 sim + $12 shipping fee.
Vs tmobile instore, you have the advantage of trading in your old phone immediately and be done with it!
Is it applicable to existing t-mobile customers or only for add lines?

Technical question for phone guru's.
I have an Iphone 8plus and it works great. I was thinking of getting the iphone12 pro but other than a better camera, what does the iphone 12 have that would make it a must? I am more interested in call quality than anything. I know its 5G but I live in a very rural area and I doubt good 5g is anywhere near me. Unless they mount them on tree's. Any real reason I should jump on this?

I guess it depends on your credit that you have with tmobile?

I purchased 2x iPhone 12 128gb.
I did mine at Costco. 2 charges on my credit card. 1 was for the tax (about $116) and the other was the $100 ($50 and $50) for the additional storage

I have Samsung A71 on EIP plan with monthly bill credit of $22.50 and still have 15 months left.

I had a chat from T-Mobile App and provided my EIP plan ID. They're saying "upon checking here, if you will be paying off the phone early, the promotion will be void because the contract for the phone must be followed"

I saw some posts here saying bill credit should be valid after payoff. So, it depends on the contracts? I got my A71 as free after bill credit with trade-in. Any advice will be appreciated since I don't want to miss this deal if I'm qualified..
Yes bill credits will still be valid after pay off. I'm thinking of doing the same myself with the A71. Seems like the cheapest phone for trade-in for max credit.
Your pay off amount should be $375

I have personally never done this but from reading past experiences, people say to at least wait until you see the bill credit show up on your account.

What $50 and $50?
$50 fee per phone because I went with a 128gb iPhone 12 instead of the base 64 gb

iPhone 12 64gb = $830
iPhone 12 128gb = $880

You pay the extra store fee up front, in my case, the $50 and $50

Anyone did the recent free Samsung Galaxy A32 free phone credit with trade in of any phone and now did this iPhone 12 for trade in of older iPhone on same line ? I paid off $282 in full for the Samsung A32 yesterday and then did the iPhone trade in deal . T-Mobile rep said I can't stack credits. I think I won't get credit on my account for the paid Samsung phone since I paid off the full amount right away . Let me know if you did the Samsung phone deal and now the iPhone deal on same line .

Yes and No.

You get to keep the credit (moved to account level after pay off) if you do any thing to this A71 (sell on eBay etc.) except when you trade it in for another EIP.

You may have one Recurring Device Credits (RDC) promo per line at a time. To get a new Recurring Device Credits (RDC) promo and keep your current credit, you must pay off the existing EIP first.
If you pay off your EIP early, you'll continue to receive the promised Recurring Device Credits (RDC) as an account-level credit through the remaining months of the promotional credit period (up to 24 or 36 months).

Yes and No.

It was explained earlier in this forum thread. You can keep the credit (moved to account level after paying off) even if you sell it on eBay for example, except when you trade it in for another EIP.

If the first EIP device (still under 24m agreement even if you pay off early) is used to trade in for a second EIP, you lose the credit on the first EIP device.

Your choice. I called and confirmed with CS too.

did the credits start to show up on your account at all prior to paying it off?
I have read a few people say that you have to wait until it starts to show up
