Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose
Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.
For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

Only thing I don't like about this type of deal is it doesn't account for the upgraded space both ways. I'm trading in an upgraded 256MB iPhone X for a 256MB 12 Pro and have to pay the $109 difference up front.
thats the whole reason why we trade in iPhone 8.

Isn't that the same amount they'll apply as a bill credit once they receive your trade-in?
I think you are trying to avoid the $3.29 different difference between the trade in vs the finance charge... if u prepay any of the EIP it goes against the amount of payments. It will not decrease the EIP monthly amount... safe to say it's better to get the down payment up front for the trade... which is in your case prob $79 for the iPhone 8...

Yup, as long as they're also on T-Mobile it's fine. Unlock policy is the same... after 40 days of use on the T-Mobile network and with the EIP paid off they will unlock it no problem.
Thanks!

What's EIP paid off? Isn't this deal on EIP for 24 months?

Can you buy an iphone on your own upgrade line and just give it to a friend that uses t mobile? How about the unlock policy in this case?
If your friend use tmobile, it's fine, just use his/her sim card in the phone, if not , you have to pay off EIP first and use in tmobile 45 days in order to get unlock.

You can pay off the full amount of your EIP early and continue to receive the monthly bill credits. With the phone paid off, T-Mobile will unlock the phone for you (along with the 40 days requirement).

I asked the same question, but no answer. I went ahead and ordered the phones. Got IMEI right away.
IMEI are auto sent or some one working the online store ? Will they respond from Swappa right away?

Also swappa verifies all imei blocklist etc ?

This deal ends today ?

I asked on Twitter:

Hi folks, I have question about Mother's Day iPhone promo. My wife has OnePlus 6T with cracked glass on the back of the phone. Would it qualify for trade in?

Answer:
The important thing is to make sure that the cracks do not extend to the front screen of the phone. If the front screen is totally intact and the cracks are just on the back glass, then the phone is absolutely still eligible to be traded in and will work perfectly for this promotion, getting us $380 back in credits.
yes that is right, they are very care about water damage instead of mini crack on the back.

Yes, IMEI shows up automatically once payment is processed.

I gave up. T-Mobile you made it a memorable Mother's Day but definitely not in a positive way. Saturday I tried to do the deal at one Costco. Sadly they didn't know about it and wouldn't look it up or try. Sunday morning I went to another Costco, waited an hour to talk to the rep, who this time did know about the deal. We jumped through all the hoops to do the trade only to find out all mini's and 12's in 64 and 128's in all colors were sold out.

I also got the honor of cooking and cleaning up after a nice Mothersday lunch with my husband and adult son but I can't blame T Mobile for that.

If I run the check on t mobile at the link you gave above. It is now clearly saying that it is blocked. Please see below. And sickw.com is the only other website which says it is blacklisted by t mobile. Swappa and even t-mobile itself will allow you to move forward with trade in for that IMEI if you try to order iPhone 12 online for this deal. It was also giving me message on my t-mobile account that it is unlocked phone but wasn't there it was telling that it is blocked.

It's well equipped to take advantage of our network technology, like Extended Range LTE and VoLTE. Tell Me More
This phone is blocked. Contact T-Mobile USA, Inc for the phone's status.

With respect to sickw.com, I would say it is giving correct information. In the last 15 months, I have purchased almost 15+ iPhones (I have more than 12 lines with t mobile) and every time I used "apple basic info" option with the respective IMEI and I was able to clearly see that phone is locked and then once t mobile confirms it is unlocked I used to see unlocked result there. It is definitely connecting to apple server and getting valid info's So far for me it already worked. It used to free but now 0.10.

I contacted micro center and they agreed for refund but I lost the deal unfortunately. Anyone tried getting on swappa with just IMEI? please let me know and I can still catch the deal.
Well, snap - if the Tmobile's own IMEI checker website tells you it's blocked, I guess this is indeed the case and this is very unfortunate. On my end I can only be glad this is not the case and so selling blocked phones by MicroCenter is certainly not a norm and more like an anomaly. Good luck with your case and I hope you can still find your iPhone 8 trade before the day ends.

I checked mine on swappa before buying at microcenter and it said available. Went ahead and paid $20 to upgrade at a tmo store and they took it.
You should be good, then. Debated going to the store but chose online option to save few $. Glad my IMEI / phone came out clean after all. Sending the phone (by mail) will obviously add some stress to the equation (last time I sent my phone by mail, the USPS tracking took 10 days (!) to even register the package) but I am still hopeful it will work equally fine this time.

Why not try a T-Mobile store , order online through the T-Mobile app or call them at 611? Much easier than going to Costco in my opinion
