But an enclosure is a must have to do ABS, Nylon...etc. consider relocating your board/PSU, though.

I had this, returned it because reasons. Biggest being that I was worried about my main board and other electronics over heating. Also it didn't work that well with the Ender 5, I had to shift it sideways making it super awkward to use the screen. If you have a 3 it would work great unless if you are worried about overheating things like I was.

Agreed. Made one myself using scaled-up (102%) connectors found on Thingiverse. Then used the type of aluminized bubble wrap used on supply ducts, foil tap on the edges of the wrap, and a sheet of clear plastic for the windows. Total cost with materials to make a second one was about $30. Took me about an 45min to cut and assemble.

Perhaps. However, this is about the average price for these. They have a flame resistant fabric.

You'd still need to vent the enclosure. Otherwise, when you open it, those fumes will escape. Actually, without venting they will probably escape during the printing process anyway.

The fumes aren't the issue - temp regulation is the key factor for using these. ABS stinks, but no more than resin.

Proper ventilation is important when working with these materials, but more so from the "annoyance" side of things.

I use PVC plumbing pipe and a sheet of plastic. Buy PVC plumbing corner connectors and cut PVC pipes to length. It fits together like Lego!

Thinking about picking one of these up for my CR10-V3. I made the ikea lack table one for my ender 3 and it works great. I relocated the power supply but the main board and raspberry pi sit inside and there's not that much heat generated in a normal print to make me worry.

Not if you open it. Look into ventilation solutions - plenty of them (DIY and otherwise). Also, carbon filters for your printer, if it's equipped with air filtration, can help.

Most I know who print in ABS do so sporadically. There's some toxicity to the fumes, but there's no conclusive data showing effects. Precautions aren't a bad thing, though.

Anywho, the issue most people are concerned about is material shrinkage due to ambient air temp causing rapid cooling. That's why these exist.
