1. They can connect with up to 3 devices (not simultaneously of course, that'd be absurd)
2. Even with intense gaming sessions using RF dongle (no, not a competitive gamer), I have yet to see any lag
3. Keyboard backlighting is very strong but I usually just keep it off as it does consume battery
4. Battery life on both is great otherwise - and they use USB-C so that's awesome
5. They both can be connected with just one USB dongle to your primary machine - I recommend gaming desktop, and the rest of the connections are purely bluetooth but even they are low latency bluetooth so it's great
6. Comfort is incredible. The keyboard is heavy but it's form factor requires it to be heavy so it stays extremely stable on the desk. Does not slip. They're built like a tank. And the keyboard has both PC and Mac buttons. The software provides a ton of options to customize buttons and backlighting.
Overall, I don't think I have found a $100 keyboard and $100 mouse that integrate so well across all the three computers I use them with. Just an incredible value provided by Logitech.
For most people, that use the mouse to point and select or drag and drop, etc, spending more time on the keyboard than the mouse, the $35 M720 paired with the MX Keys keyboard would offer the full benefits of the multi-device with logic flow functionality.

Maybe I misunderstand the tech, but I had understood that Logitech already has the functionality you refer to in point #1 in place?

Does this not actually work?
I have my work laptop with external mouse / keyboard) + my gaming PC with its own keyboard / mouse.
I also plan to get a Mac Mini, if only to have a new thing to learn since I haven't used a Mac extensively since elementary school.
Having a single keyboard / mouse to easily flick between those systems would be pretty great.
I wonder though if I could use a single large monitor that could also be as seamlessly swapped on the fly.
Then again, I may need to have concurrent view of at least 2 systems @ once at all times.
In any case, great tech times we are living in!

Providing a peer-peer communication between the two would require a wire or a separate blu-tooth or another wireless transceiver.
I wouldn't mind the mouse being optionally tethered to the keyboard with a wire for this purpose. Not as bad as a wire to a computer.

Since this keyboard connects using two different wireless radios (BT) and (RF - Dongle), it shouldn't be hard to implement. Especially since RF doesn't need to be constant on connection.
They can already be configured to communicate at same RF to work with same dongle.
Communication wise, it's do-able. Will they implement it, remains to be seen.

And this single pair of Logitech helps me connect to all three (whichever one I want to use at the moment). The single monitor only accepts two HDMI inputs so I got a HDMI switcher from Best Buy given I wanted to connect 3 machines.

Also recommend MX Ergo trackball. Wish either were $99. I think they inflate the price past $100 so the warranty costs $50 instead of $30. Sneaky Staples.
And in my experience with many Logitech mice and trackballs, you will want that warranty when the buttons start acting up. These higher end rechargeable devices only have 1 year warranties while their AA battery powered models are warrantied for years.
