Looks a lot like the husky ones that were like $11 at the beginning of the year...i mean they're both made by apex... Nah. Couldn't be the same exact product lol

For high quality picks I recommend the Ullman pick set with black handles. The handles are thinner, but the picks are longer and stronger. I believe they are rebranded for one of the tools trucks as well.

Serious question - how could these be any better than the HF cheap ones? I have never run into a situation where I thought, dang, I wish I had better hooks.

I have a lot of HF Pittsburgh tools, and I know the $10 hook and pick set you're talking about. The HF set is pretty low rent. It'll get the job done, but the HF set has the cheapest black plastic handles HF sells (similar to the screwdriver set they used to give away with a free coupon). The handles on these are much nicer, and the metal Apex/GW uses for the picks looks to be nicer than what you see on the HF set. You'd really need to place them side by side to get an apples to apples comparison - but I'd pay $20 for the GW set vs $10 for the HF Pittsburgh set.

Now, if HF sold a 7 pc set in their ICON line for $20, then you'd have a better comparison...

This deal is dead, but nobody marked it expired. But how do these compare to the Icon brand picks other than getting less pieces?
