Which looks like another name for "payment for order flow" (PFOF), like Robinhood. Use a brokerage that handles it's own orders, like Fidelity.
They took all my information and then halted the application process after I uploaded images of my drivers license:
We can't open a Money account for you at this time. Try to apply again on your mobile device. The camera on your mobile phone is usually the easiest way to get a good photo of your driver's license or state ID.
SoFi looks buggy as hell. And even if I was able to get my images accepted through the dashboard, I suspect I would no longer be eligible for the SD rebate, as the original application process that was linked from SD was halted.
Now they "have to retain" my private information for at least 7 years, and I'll probably get a mountain of junk mail from them.
Our last rebate round had over 94% of the approval rate. Less than 6% had issues with tracking where the transaction did not track back to us. When the transaction does not track back to us, it means that one of the listed requirements was not met. We always make sure to double-check the results to make sure there are no mistakes from our side. Maybe try to create an account from the SD link using the same email and see if they say you already are registered. Fairly easy to test.
You might need to have another household member create an account to do this deal. I would guess a duplicate account for you with a different email would be against SoFi's wishes or TOS, but who knows? I have a SoFi Money account, so I won't try as I was logged into it and tried from the SD link and it just went into my account when I clicked on "Get SoFi Money". Trying to register with the same email while I was logged out resulted in the "already registered" error.

The only way to get the bonus is by filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
