+1 for a c910. Back when I bought it (almost 10 years ago...) I had very little use for it. I still can't believe how slowly webcam tech has progressed since then...

Can anyone confirm if this supports windows hello facial recognition? I looked around but I'm having a hard time finding any information on it. Thanks in advance

External webcams generally do not. Windows Hello needs infrared

Will this be better than my laptop cam? I have a laptop as workstation at work and most of time it is folded and connected to dual monitors. And it is a hassle to open the laptop up to use its cam.

That's my setup. Laptop connected to dual monitors. And laptop is actually under the desk to maximize desk space.

I do a couple webex meetings a day, and it was a hassle to deal with the laptop camera.

I got the Logitech C922 for $79.99 that is frequently available from Staples (with the $20 off coupon).

I highly recommend this. It is so nice to be on a web meeting, and have a nice web camera and nice built-in microphone. Everyone can now see me and hear me, it was such a struggle with the laptop webcam and microphone. So much more productive now.

I was about to return the C922 to Staples and buy the Walmart version. But after reading the reviews I'm not so sure the Walmart version is 100% the same as the C922. It might be a small step down (or might be different firmware). So for the $15 more, and the hassle of the return/rebuy, I'll just keep what I have.

These don't have the privacy cover. So I bought this one for $5, it works great is is almost identical to the Logitech OE cover on other models:

The only Logitech that I am aware of that supports facial recognition, including Windows Hello, is the Logitech Brio Pro model.

But the Brio has a much higher price tag.

It's still much more clear and accurate color with brio than this one. I had one back in office but did not take it back with me when WFH started. Miss that brio

Any recommendations for a decent webcam that can adjust to harsh backlighting? Cell phone cameras seem to handle it alright, just curious if there are any webcams on a similar level without spending hundreds. I have an east facing office, floor to ceiling window behind me with sheer window coverings...

Most of the cams with "light adjust" are for dim front lighting situations... I realize I'll likely have to add some sort of front lighting source.

nope. not even high end movie level rigs can handle harsh lighting. you'll have to balance the lighting out somehow.

While you get great quality it's annoying to use and cumbersome.
Depends on where you use it.
They're definitely not cumbersome when just sitting on top of my TV (along with PS3 Eye, PS4 Eye, Xbone camera) for my kids doing Zoom with HTPC

I got the C930e for $74 so to have the flexibility for wider view or use Logitech's settings software t crop for smaller view.

After chatting with Logitech CS, I found out that this model is for business users and is similar to the C922; however, unlike the C922 that comes with a tripod and shoots 1080p@30fps/720p@60fps, this one does not come with a tripod and it shoots both 1080p and 720p at 30 fps. Their point, which I can't believe you missed, is that people are trying to sell $10 bills for $20.
