I've not heard anything about no warranty support and I've bought 2 sets from this seller.
My parents and brother are all set.
Pro tip, you can configure them remotely - the other person would just need to give you the serial number. I can manage my parents network and they get to piggyback off my eero secure.

I would be hesitant of the no warranty part. Routers of any kind can fail at any time and it'll suck to have to re-purchase a new node.
Got my pack of 3 last May for $399 from Best Buy and it was $100 off then.
I believe these were the highest rated mesh networks according to the Wirecutter. It may have changed now depending on how the WiFi 6 models perform but I think the speed tests and all that technical stuff showed the eero and one other Orbi model as being the top performers.
Also, on the eero subreddit, the developers are active users on there and answer questions frequently, so if that matters to you that might be something worth considering as far as CS goes.
eero Secure wasn't that great for me. If you want it anyway, there are promo codes for 50% off or something which makes it $40 or $50 a year for their adblocking service as well as Malwarebytes, one of the popular password managers, and a VPN. But you could still do it cheaper with free alternatives like uBlock Origin and Privacy Badger for ad blocking, Bitwarden for passwords, and a reputable VPN company for $40 a year or something.
Also, there is money back opportunities from portals that offer it for Amazon orders.

You just have weigh the risk vs reward of no warranty vs saving 50%. I debated the same and decided to roll the dice.

Authorized retailer? Most vendors don't care too much, but some are hardcore about warranty support from authorized vendors only.

I like it for the analytics, it's alright. Not worth paying full price for. I got for the $14 deal on black Friday.
If you want serious ad blocking, you'd want to utilize a pi-hole
