Casual watcher of TV. 2-4 hours a day maybe. No video games with static images on the screen. Only show I watched everyday with a static image was Pardon the Interuption on ESPN. After two years of owning it, the image retained almost everything and got worse with multiple layers on the bottom right of the screen (NBC logo, TLC logo, Nickelodeon logo). LG would not cover burn in so I'm stuck with the image retention until I get a new TV, which will not be another LG oled.
I have a 65 c7 and a 77 c9 that my kids play Xbox on and YouTube and leave on , both mine have a screensaver that turns on after awhile. I think that has saved me.
Since I'll probably be buying my first OLED this year, can you provide a bit more on what you used the TV for, how long each day and how much burn in you see after that usage? I'm thinking of using it for PS5, and I don't play too many different games, so I definitely don't want burn-in of the little compass or map that's on the same spot on few games I play.
Thanks!
I've got two different 3 year old OLED's. I watch at least 5 hours a day, weekends even more. I play games with static images almost every day, I watch a lot of sports with static images. Still zero burn-in on both TV's.
Worst electronic investment I ever made was on an LG oled tv. Yea, the picture is great but the burn-in is terrible. Can't even watch the screen
I have 11,000 hours on my LG C7 65". I have absolutely zero burn in. I watch and play a little bit of everything that probably helps. That said, I have a 5 year best buy warranty on the tv that covers burn in. if and when it does happen I'll call them up and get all my money refunded and toss it into the next tv

It's so ironic because my 65 inch I got from a SD post on NFM was by far the best investment I made in terms of discount, usage and ease of getting the deal.

Very nice. Wish I had gotten that BB warranty. Would of saved me a lot of heartache
I would go QLED on my next one, unless there is a new technology that comes out that's supposedly better than OLED. I have a buddy who has a QLED and honestly, I don't see much of a difference between that and my OLED

It may not be as easy as you think. See people complaining about BB not honoring their warranty here:

65" e6
It shows on BestBuy but when you try to make payment, it does not accept the stand as they don't have in stock.
Called Best Buy and they gave additional discount of $50 for stand that they cannot ship.
Would you go Sony OLED, QLED, or ...?
So how do I have two different 3 year old OLED's both with zero burn-in?

I've got a 4 yr old 55" lg oled and a 2 yr old 65" lg oled. ZERO burn in.
Oh and I have zero burn-ins
You normally don't send in a TV for service. The warranty company will send a tech out and replace parts as needed.
