Aren't you better off getting the Samsung galaxy active 2 watch for much less on ebay (brand new)?

Look at the reviews, there's a hardware flaw that FitBit has admitted, and there's still no resolution for.

The HR tracking needs to be fixed for this to be a viable option.

Yes. I had a versa 2 that lasted just over a year before slowly dying. After that I got a galaxy 3. Wow! The difference is night and day. It actually seems like a smart watch rather than a basic activity tracker. I love the rotating bezel so for comparable price would suggest the galaxy 1.

I had an active 2 and returned to get a Versa 2. The main reason was battery. I just couldn't stomach the daily charging routine where the original Versa allowed 4 days of charge-free usage. Until they make a major breakthrough, I'll stay away from WearOS/WatchOS.

That's why I went with versa 2 over all the others. But a good battery life doesn't matter much if the watch isn't that smart/usable and dies in just over a year. It would work for someone who only wants an activity tracker but was very limited other than that and relied on the app too much.
I've learned to adapt to charging and usually set it while I'm watching tv in the evening. Though it matters less because I'm still home all the time.

What sample size are we talking? Few bad apples are always possible and Fitbit replaces beyond a year in many cases.

In my case I didn't need more than an activity / HR / sleep / SpO2 tracker and that silent alarm. Oh, the find phone app has come in handy a few times but never needed GPS or LTE functionality as the phone is not too far these days. Haven't tried Fitbit Pay or music apps either - Versa 2 is already too smart for me Smilie

I have a Fossil Gen3 smart watch that I stopped wearing when I hurt my wrist. Super nice watch, but the daily charging is dumb and there is no way I am wearing that heavy ass watch for sleep tracking. I wore nothing for a long time and then bought the Wyze watch. I love the battery life, and how light it is, almost not even there, but the stupid thing wont sync with Google Fit. I will get a $250 credit by the end of the year for participating in a work fitness tracking program and have been trying to decide on what to get with it but the Sense and the Venu SQ have been on my mind. I keep getting sucked into the Samsung hole but just having a hard time committing to a full fledged smart watch again.

The Apple Watch SE is the same price at Costco. Not sure why you would choose this over that, unless you love the FitBit UI or are an Android user.

I am an android user, but based on what I have seen and know about them you are probably right if you do not consider the battery life to be a deal killer. That and the built in sleep tracking. But seriously 18hr vs 6 day battery life is pretty significant. Those are quoted, not actual hours FYI.

Sorry bu my Fitbit dies every year. Fitbit does not replace beyond a year only within the year. I also strongly think that Fitbit does something with their update to kill the device.
