fitbit has planned obsolesce built into it. search for fitbit charge3 screen dimming issue. screen start to dim in daylight (as opposed to being bright) after about a year (conveniently after warranty expires). it becomes so dim that it is not possible to read anything at all. In settings they have only 'dim' and 'auto' option (no 'bright' option) even though you can see that screen is capable of being brighter (when switching between these two modes screen goes to original brightness for fraction of second). forum is choke full of people complaining about this issue, and only response fitbit has is to buy a new one. will never buy a fitbit again.

I just don't like that sleep tools and health metrics dashboard feature are available in paid Fitbit premium. I don't mind to pay for coaching and workout program if I need them.
