They are very close in specs. The LG has more accurate colors out of the box and is HDR certified. The HDR is very basic though so I wouldn't expect too much. LG is just a tad slower in input lag but faster in refresh rate. (would not really be discernible between the 2). Omen has a higher refresh rate 165hz vs 144.for LG (also not really a discernible difference). Both have almost equally bad contrast ratios that are well below the advertised 1000:1.

With the OMEN. you are paying more for premium build quality and aesthetics and I guess that 165hz.

Can anyone comment on if this is better than the 27" Dell S2721DGF or the Gigabyte M27Q 27" for both productivity and gaming use?

To my knowledge the dell and this use the same panel so whichever one is cheaper I'd say.
