If you're on a tight budget, it's great for a primary monitor. Otherwise, for PC gaming I would suggest something much more high end, the visual experience is just a lot better. I have this on my secondary gaming rig I use to host games over WAN.. so far after over a year, no problems at all with it on almost all day/night.

I have similar version as this one: LG 27GL83A-B. This supposed to lack just the usb hub. But at least on mine, it doesn't auto switch from one input to another based on which one is active. That's super annoying if you connected like xbox, a laptop and desktop on this thing. You have to always click to switch and I always have to click twice to switch. doesn't sound like a big deal, but it really is when you change at least twice a day. It's ridiculous considering my decade old DELL monitor switches automatically. Maybe 27GL850 actually has auto input switch feature. but i can't find such info

Not sure if this is true. I have LG 27GL83A-B, which is very similar to this one, I can connect Xbox and at least that says it's running 120Hz on hdmi.

27GN800-B (Best Buy $299) [bestbuy.com]

27GN800-B (Best Buy $299) vs 27GL850-B (this deal) [rtings.com]

The LG 27GN800-B and the LG 27GL83A-B perform fairly similarly overall. However, the 27GN800-B has a slight edge if you can overlook the stand's terrible ergonomics. Both are 1440p 144Hz monitors, but the 27GN800-B has a faster response time at both 60Hz and the max refresh rate.

LG OLED 48" latest gen. They heavily focus on gaming with these TV's. Also, the size is important.. anything too big and it's unfun to use. If you have a large, deep desk, it's perfect if you mount it on the wall. You can easily find them for about $1000

Edit: If you haven't had an OLED TV before, they're game changers.. especially if you watch certain movies where there's a lot of darkness and then bright lights like neon because the blacks are literally black, they're turned off instead of illuminating black. Only OLED has this tech. In games it's insane. Like Star Wars with lightsabers, they pop out of the screen. 100% worth it to go all displays in a home with OLED imo

The auto brightness limiter (ABL) makes the current crop of OLED TVs a no-go for anyone using their PC for things besides gaming.
