The gl83a is their budget offering where the gl850 was high end a few years ago and mid range nowadays. Slight better colors and whatnot neither have real hdr but the gl850 would be better if enabled. Noticable if you compared side by side but not enough to make or break a deal. I'd pay the 20$ for the 850 but I wouldn't blame anyone for saving the 20$ either.

This one was on sale for $246 2 weeks ago. Not sure what the difference besides "nano". Whatever that is.

EDIT: ops typo, I meant $246 not 146 lol

Just going to say I tried this monitor and the Acer Nitro XV272u is just a flat out better monitor. Look up how the LG struggles to play at 120hz properly on Xbox.

Link to the Acer Nitro? I do see 32 inch version at $210 but not the 27 inch version.

Anyone care to chime in this vs 32 inch version with Acer?

Good deal, but I ended up returning this monitor. The refresh rate is excellent for gaming, but if you're not a gamer, I would only get a 4K monitor. I found the dpi resolution terrible when using spreadsheets word documents, and just browsing the Internet.

Can you not reduce the resolution and still use for work purposes Hope I can find a common ground for work and gaming monitor.

I have the gl83a-b, got 2 when they first got released then a third 2 years later. The newer gl83a-b gets detected as a gl850. The 2 older ones are detected as gl83a-b.
